I wanted to focus on the right targeting Michelle Obama because the idiocy really kills me! What the hell is wrong with those idiots? They just do not care about our America! I also wanted to discuss the worlds enthusiasm in seeing Bush leave if it happens and in seeing Obama elected. I was also struck that Exxon/Mobil is selling its 2,200 gas stations because they are not profitable. Hmm! but as usual I again have to digress and talk about something else as today is all about records that no one wants to see!

First: The cost of living rose in May as consumers were belted by energy costs, the government said Friday. The Consumer Price Index, a key inflation reading, rose 4.2% through the 12 months ended in May, according to the Labor Department. This compared to an increase of 3.9% during the 12 months ended in April. For the month of May, overall CPI rose 0.6%, compared to an increase of 0.2% in April. That's the biggest increase since last November, when the overall CPI surged 0.9%. A consensus of analysts interviewed by Briefing.com had projected an increase of 0.5% for May. The dramatic increase in energy costs were largely responsible for the overall inflation. Energy costs rose 4.4% in May, and surged 17.4% over the 12 months ending in May, the Labor Department said.

"These (CPI) numbers are nowhere near to what we're seeing in the real world," said Peter Beutel, energy analyst for Cameron Hanover, who believed the "real" cost of living has increased at a higher rate than the index shows. "But even these diluted numbers are showing that inflation is getting uglier and uglier and uglier." Beutel said this puts more pressure on the Federal Reserve to increase the federal funds rate, which he thinks could happen in August or September. The rate is currently at 2%. "The higher that inflation is, the sooner the Fed has to raise rates to help keep a lid on prices," said Beutel. The index for fuel oil rose 10.4% in May and soared 64% over the 12 months. The gasoline index rose 5.7% in May and surged 20.8% on a year-over-year basis. The index for natural gas rose 5.6% in May, and was up 16.5% over the last year.

* Electricity costs also increased, but less dramatically, edging up 0.9% in May, and rising 5.8% over the last 12 months. As a result, transportation costs increased 2% in May, and jumped 8.1% over the 12 months ending in May. The index for household energy costs climbed 2.8% in May, its fourth consecutive jump, the Labor Department said. The price of food also pushed up overall costs. Food costs increased 0.3% in May, and jumped 5.1% during the 12 months ending in May. The price of milk was a big influence on the overall price, increasing 10.2% over the 12 months, despite slipping 0.7% in May.The cost of clothing was the one area where consumers got some relief. Apparel costs deflated 0.2% in May, and decreased 0.4% over the 12 months.The core CPI, which excludes the cost of food and energy, rose 0.2% in May, compared to an increase of 0.1% in April. * It will get much uglier as these records will be broken! Plus The housing crisis grew worse in May, as more than 73,000 American families lost their homes to bank repossessions, up a staggering 158% from the 28,548 households that were dispossessed in May 2007. Foreclosure filings of all kinds, including default notices, notices of sheriff's sales and bank repossessions, were up 48% from May 2007, according to the latest release from RealtyTrac, the online marketer of foreclosed properties. Filings increased 7% from April. "May was the 29th straight month we've seen a year-over-year increase," RealtyTrac's CEO James Saccacio said in a statement. The report follows months of increasingly gloomy housing market conditions with home prices, existing home sales and new housing starts all plummeting. The S&P Case/Shiller Home Price Index posted a record 14.1% decline in national home prices for the 12 months ending March 31, while April's existing-home sales were down 17.5% year over year.

Worst-hit cities: Nevada remained the most troubled default state for the 17th consecutive month. One out of every 118 households there received some kind of foreclosure filing during May, up 24% from the previous month and 72% from a year ago. California led the nation in the sheer volume of filings, with nearly 72,000 properties in some stage of default, which works out to one out of every 183 households. More than 20,000 Californians lost their homes, more than any other state. "Remember, as California goes so goes the Nation"

Also Florida recorded over 37,000 filings and 4,300 bank repossessions. Nine of the top 10 cities with the most foreclosure filings were in either Florida or California. Stockton, Calif., was the worst-hit city last month, with one filing for every 75 households. Cape Coral, Fla., where one out of every 79 homes received a filing, was second. Other hard-hit places were Merced, Calif., which ranked third, Modesto, Calif., which was fourth and Riverside, Calif., which was fifth. Las Vegas was the only city outside of California and Florida to crack the top 10. In May it had one filing for every 96 households - about five times the national average - which put it in sixth place. Default rates will rise for many more months, according to RealtyTrac vice president Rick Sharga, who thinks that there could be another 18 months of this activity left. In Wisconsin, amphibious vehicles that carry tourists on the Wisconsin River were used to evacuate homes and businesses in Baraboo, north of Madison. Hundreds of people lost power in Avoca, west of Madison, and were "strongly encouraged" to evacuate due to flooding, said Chief Deputy Jon Pepper of the Iowa County Sheriff's Department. Violent thunderstorms Thursday and Friday brought widespread flooding to Michigan's Lower Peninsula that authorities say left some roads and bridges unstable or impassable. Authorities in Mason County advised drivers to stay off the roads unless it was an emergency, and the county closed or barricaded more than a dozen roadways. People in several northern Missouri communities, meanwhile, were piling up sandbags to prepare for flooding in the Missouri River, expected to crest over the weekend, and a more significant rise in the Mississippi River expected Wednesday.

Despite all the water in Cedar Rapids, there was precious little for toilets, cleaning, or drinking. Koch said the city is at critical levels and only one of the city's six wells was operating. "If we lost that one we would be in serious trouble. Basically we are using more water than we are producing," he said. "We really need to reduce the amount of water we are using ... even using paper plates, hand sanitizer." Similarly, the town of Lawrenceville, Illinois, grappled with a broken water system that left businesses with no usable tap water, forcing them to close. "We're just kind of at God's mercy right now, so hopefully people that never prayed before this, it might be a good time to start," Linn County Sheriff Don Zeller said. First historically America may be the most violent country in the world when compared to other industrialized nations. violence is deeply rooted in American society, and has become woven into the fabric of American lifestyle. violence invades our intimate relationships, our schools, and our work environments.

Too many people consider violence an acceptable strategy for conflict resolution, exerting power and control, obtaining possessions, and satisfying emotional desires. Violence is even entertainment, glamorized in the behavior of both real and fantasy hero's. Crime and violence have been a part of American society since America was founded. The publics awareness of crime, violence, domestic abuse, child abuse, and gangs has increased dramatically. The media plays an important role in public awareness of violence. We are bombarded daily with reports on television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet with the fact that we are all vulnerable to acts of violence.

Crime increased dramatically between 1960 and 1975, showing an increase of 232 percent. During these years the murder rate increased 50 percent.. During the 1980's and 1990s public awareness of domestic violence and child abuse increased. During the 1990's there were school shooting sprees in Colorado, Mississippi, Georgia, Arkansas, Kentucky and Oregon that brought violence in schools to the forefront of public awareness. In late 1999 a Texas church rally was the scene of another tragic shooting. Not only did our schools start feeling unsafe, but even our most sacred place, the church became unsafe.

The increase of violence, and our awareness of violence, changes the way we live. Fear of violence, crime, and gangs can make us feel like prisoners in our own homes. Unsafe feeling neighborhoods can make us feel unsafe about going out at night. In some neighborhoods, children are killed in drive by shootings at schools, on the streets, in neighborhoods, in playgrounds and even in their own homes. There are many people, both adults and children, that carry guns, knives and chemical sprays for protection. violence in America

McClellan will testify publicly and under oath before the House Judiciary Committee on June 20 about the White House's role in the leak and its response, his attorneys, Michael and Jane Tigar, said on Monday.

** In his new book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," McClellan said he was misled by others, possibly including Cheney, about the role of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby in the leak. McClellan has said publicly that Bush and Cheney "directed me to go out there and exonerate Scooter Libby." The statements prompted House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, D-Mich., to invite McClellan to the hearing "concerning reported attempts to cover up the involvement of White House officials in the leak of" Plame's identity. The New America you've given us has made that happen, by emptying pantries and cupboards all across America. Companies like D-Con, Rent-A-Kill and Orkin may have their very existence in peril with the lack of food.

* Your 100 year war you have bestowed upon the American people and indeed, all of the western world to fight terrorism will provide jobs for all. All those children from your wonderful "No Child Left Behind" public school policy that are now graduating from high schools everywhere are unfit for college. But they will find food, shelter, training and employment under the loving organization of Homeland Security.

* You have shown us you must be a God, for you could see the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center which was never televised. You were so humble that you didn't want to admit you could see it without the aid of television, so you stated you saw it on television.

* We all thank you for your gift of the Patriot Act. Since the 1200+ page document was all ready to sign the same week as 9-11, clearly you have the gift of foresight and had it all ready ahead of time. You saw that terrible evil coming on 9-11, but you didn't stop it because all those deaths were good for America.

Because of this wonderful gift, millions of Americans will no be troubled by making vacation plans. And they will not have to endure all that stress relief that goes with a nice vacation.

* We all want to extend a special thank you for staging not one war, but two wars without any means to pay for them. Foolish people on Capitol Hill during WW2 wasted so much time selling war bonds to pay for that war. Perhaps by the end of 2008, you can get a third front started for us to enjoy with no possible way to pay for it.

* Millions of homeowners everywhere are so grateful that you have pulled funding from minor projects like rebuilding America's aging infrastructure. Cities and towns everywhere have created tremendous tax increases, and homeowners everywhere are so happy about it they have used garage and yard sales to display and celebrate their gratitude for taxes they cannot afford.

* We're all grateful for you not working too hard to find your arch enemy and supposed architect of 9-11, Bin Laden. We understand your need for him, and that finding him would end all justification for the mid-east conflict. No one wants to let the air out of your war tires.

* There all are those careers you've so graciously destroyed in the military to protect yourself. These patriotic men and women have no business upholding the Constitution like they have, despite their oath when each was sworn in at the induction center. Their allegiance must be to you, not the Constitution. You have stated to us that the Constitution is "just a God-Da..d piece of paper" and this is how we know that you are where everyone's faith must be centered.

* Surely there are many more gifts you've given America, and we're terribly sorry if we have omitted them. And we're all sure, that the coming atrocities you'll bestow upon us and the world before you leave office will be for the good of America, and the entire world. In closing, I'd like to say that destroying America with a carefully crafted plan is a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. Certainly, you make Mike Rowe proud. But I don't think he'd be able to do your dirty job in a short segment on his cable show, "Dirty Jobs."

Keeping abreast of the worsening environment it is only June the North East is in a heat wave but I want to discuss the Midwest Indiana specifically!

We have been watching the growing fires in California, a multitude of problems in Florida, water wars, food problems, massive damage due to Tornadoes and Hurricanes but I want to discuss Indiana because I was taken aback by the depth of the widespread flooding problems that flashed through yesterdays dose of Olympic trials and Big Brown's failed attempt at the triple crown. You know all of this is just starting and none of it will be stopped by anyone but I want to discuss the Midwest and Indiana.

Severe storms crippled central Indiana with as much as 10 inches of rain Saturday and spawned tornadoes that ripped up roofs and flipped tractor-trailers in Wisconsin and the Chicago suburbs. The floods in Indiana threatened dams, inundated highways and forced the Coast Guard to rescue residents from swamped homes. To the northwest, Chicago-area residents ran for cover as tornadoes touched down throughout the region. Wisconsin had a few tornado injuries, and at least one injury was reported near Chicago. Indiana had been spared any reported deaths or injuries. "At this point, mercifully, we believe all Hoosiers are secure," Gov. Mitch Daniels said at a news conference. "We hope that will continue."

Daniels declared an emergency in 17 counties as the Coast Guard was called in to help with flooding that has forced hundreds of people from their homes. Ninety percent of the small town of Paragon, southwest of Indianapolis, was underwater, State Homeland Security Director Joe Wainscott said. Water reached the first floor of Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, but no patients had to be moved, county Commissioner Tom Kite said. "We have dams failing in the Prince's Lakes area," threatening the town of Nineveh, about 30 miles south of Indianapolis, Kite said. Indiana State Police reported evacuations in the Lake Lemon area about 10 miles northeast of Bloomington. Dams near Gold Point were close to collapse, police said. Interstate 70 was closed in Clay County in west-central Indiana, and Interstate 65 and another major route, U.S. 31, both were closed near Franklin.

In western Indiana, water more than a foot deep surrounded homes on Terre Haute's east side. U.S. 41 was the only route open into Terre Haute, and it was down to one lane by mid-afternoon. J.D. Kesler, deputy director of the Vigo County Emergency Management Agency, said more than 200 people had to be rescued from their homes, vehicles and nursing homes there.More than 30,000 electricity customers lost power, the Indiana Utilities Regulatory Commission said. Near Chicago, Will County Sheriff's Department spokesman Pat Barry said a tornado damaged several homes in the Wilmington area and toppled trees and power lines. A person was injured on Interstate 57 in the southern suburbs, and a swath of the major highway closed as authorities worked to clear overturned trucks, said State Trooper Mark Dorencz. Tornadoes were also reported in Lake County, north of the city, and in Livingston County, to the southwest. Central and southeastern Wisconsin were pelted with baseball-size hail in a storm that blew roofs off homes, toppled trees and power lines, and injured at least six people.Flooding built up around Milwaukee, where water as deep as 2 feet in roads caused parked cars to drift and closed parts of an interstate highway. We now know The Indiana Department of Homeland Security said Sunday morning that two people had died as a result of flooding, but did not immediately release details. One of the fatalities was confirmed in Columbus. Record flooding was ongoing Sunday morning on the White, Flatrock and Wabash rivers. About 150 residents were evacuated from a nursing home in Morgan County. More than 250 patients and employees were evacuated from Columbus Regional Hospital late Saturday. Authorities said anyone with relatives who were at the hospital can call 812-372-3789 to find out where they have been taken. The hospital is expected to be closed for some time. State Homeland Security Director Joe Wainscott said Saturday that officials had no idea how many evacuations had taken place, many by boat, but no fewer than several hundred homes and businesses were affected. The U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard, Indiana Task Force One and local agencies were involved in rescues.

Ninety percent of the small town of Paragon, southwest of Indianapolis, was underwater Saturday morning, Wainscott said. Flooding was also extensive in Terre Haute and Spencer, he said. Johnson County Emergency Management Director Forrest Sutton told 6News that the flooding was "likely the largest and most costly disaster we've ever had." Gov. Mitch Daniels issued a new disaster declaration because of flooding in 10 counties, separate from the one he issued Friday for 41 counties because of storm damage. Those counties are: Brown, Clay, Greene, Johnson, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Shelby, Vermillion and Vigo. The U.S. Coast Guard dispatched two rescue helicopters to Indianapolis, where they could be sent to flooded areas as needed. A scuba team had performed swift-water rescues and helped evacuate homes in Johnson County, sheriff's dispatcher Zachary Elliott said.

Dams in the county failed in the Prince's Lakes area, threatening the town of Nineveh about 30 miles south of Indianapolis, county Commissioner Tom Kite said. Water had reached the first floor of Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Kite said. Cars were submerged up to their windshields in the county government building parking lot, and Indiana National Guard troops rerouted traffic around the main street through Franklin. Numerous Roads Closed; Some Roads Washed Out Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 reopened in Clay County late Saturday, but westbound lanes remained closed because part of the interstate had collapsed. Motorists were detoured in the area. Interstate 65 reopened in both directions at about 9 p.m. Saturday after it was blocked for several hours near Franklin.

U.S. 31 was closed in Johnson and Bartholomew counties, stranding many motorists who had no place else to go. In Morgan County, state roads 67 and 37 were both closed. Statewide, 25 state and interstate highways remain closed, homeland security officials said. Numerous county roads in the affected areas were damaged or had bridges that were washed out. The fatality was reported in Columbus, Ind., where authorities found a man dead in his flooded car. Floodwaters were expected to recede Sunday, authorities said. National Guard troops fanned out across the area searching for flooding victims as patients in a Columbus hospital were evacuated to escape rising floodwaters. The Star reported many roads and highways in central Indiana were closed due to standing water. The severe weather came only two days after Indiana was raked by tornadoes that resulted in disaster area declarations for 41 counties, the newspaper reported. "Mother Nature has landed another one on our chin," Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels said after he declared an additional 18 counties disaster areas Saturday. Hold on!

The broad-market Standard & Poor's 500 index retreated 25.62 points (1.82 percent) to 1,378.43. Traders said a sharp spike in oil prices had added to Wall Street's earlier losses. Stocks had been weighed down in earlier trading as a government survey revealed a sharp jump in unemployment. Wall Street's losses deepened as a key New York oil futures contract rocketed 9.91 dollars to a record 137.70 dollars per barrel before retreating somewhat. Hell I saw it closing in on $1400 myself! In his remarks, Bush stuck to promoting his existing economic policies. The government's $168 billion stimulus package, passed in February, began getting tax rebate checks to people last month and helped to energize shoppers. "We're beginning to see signs that the stimulus may be working," Bush said at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. But analysts believe consumers still are anxious, and a weakening job market could make people feel less inclined to spend. This, and talk that the economy already has fallen into its first recession since 2001, has led to questions about whether a second stimulus might be warranted.

The White House has insisted it needed to wait to see the full effects of the existing stimulus before discussing any new steps. The president did not unveil any new proposals during his speech, nor even hint whether he believes any are necessary. You wouldn't know this but my Air Force time was spent moving and guarding nuclear weapons, "hot" aircraft, and nuclear convoys. You do not just move and load those things unmarked and with just a few people knowing. From beginning to end everyone is a specialist. Needless to say something really stinks here too! If you were going to go after someone it would be the pilots or the Commanders on the base level that would have okayed and monitored the move to that air craft. Trust me that is what I did and it just doesn't happen by itself. The 2 fired wouldn't even know what aircraft anything was on! You also know when the attack comes it will primarily but not exclusively come from the carriers in the Gulf. it is not another so called coincidence that there is a command experienced Admiral in charge of all this.

From two different reports today we hear Israel will attack Iran if it doesn't abandon its nuclear program, a Cabinet minister hoping to replace embattled Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was quoted Friday as saying. Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz also said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "will disappear before Israel does," the Yediot Ahronot daily reported. Ahmadinejad has called repeatedly for Israel's destruction. Mofaz's spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the remarks, which were much more explicit than anything Olmert himself has said. Olmert has gone no further than hinting that Israel was prepared to use force against Iranian nuclear facilities, saying only Tuesday that "the Iranian threat must be stopped by all means. " According to the newspaper report, Mofaz — a former chief of staff and defense minister — has concluded that international sanctions haven't curbed Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

"If Iran continues its nuclear arms program — we will attack it," the newspaper quoted Mofaz as saying. "The sanctions aren't effective. There will be no choice but to attack Iran to halt the Iranian nuclear program." An Israeli military strike against Iran would have U.S. backing, Mofaz was quoted as saying. In Washington this week, Iran dominated Olmert's meetings with U.S. President George W. Bush, the Israeli leader told reporters. And Bush sought to reassure Israelis who are worried about the U.S. commitment to keeping Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb, saying, "It's very important for the world to take the Iranian threat quite seriously, which the United States does." The military fired the target, a Scud-like missile with a range of a few hundred miles, from a decommissioned amphibious assault ship near Hawaii's island of Kauai.

The cruiser USS Lake Erie fired two interceptor missiles that shot down the target in its final seconds of flight about 12 miles above the Pacific Ocean.The target was shot down about 100 miles northwest of Kauai about five minutes after it was fired. The $40 million test showed Navy ships are capable of shooting down short-range targets in their last phase of flight using modified missiles the service already has, the military said. The Navy and the Missile Defense Agency have demonstrated that ships equipped with Aegis ballistic missile defense technology can intercept mid-range targets in midcourse of flight. In the last Aegis missile defense test, in November, the Lake Erie fired two interceptors to destroy two ballistic missile targets simultaneously in space. The double blow of the King and Kennedy assassinations remains a raw wound for many who worked with them or were inspired by them. Being very concerned of History repeating itself and worse When we were marking MLK's assassination I said Many around here want to hear nothing but positive and get very mad at me when I say just wake up look at the past and realize what we have before us. It is up to us to keep Obama alive. That is our duty our version of keeping hope alive. I keep telling people to remember MLK, RFK, and JFK. Remember what happened to them. It has all been excused and nothing adequately solved. You know conspiracy theories aside I believe those behind the right did it all and more. This mess will be much worse because events get larger not smaller as we progress.

I am very concerned It is all going to happen again only repercussions will be much more dire. Think positive but plan for reality. The right is not going to allow the awesome power amassed under Bush or their agenda into the hands of Dems thus putting and end to it. Forget about it. This morning the news is all about Hillary and her fight to stay in the nomination process and screw with as many Super delegates as possible before the DNC. I am expecting quite the fiasco there but for now I am just going to supply a couple of links if you are curious and forget about her. For a while now I have been gathering articles on Scott McClellan, why he came out now, why he did not speak up before, what he has to say what the Republicans have to say, and what the Democrats have to say. I am sure as usual that the truth will not matter and it will be labeled as conspiracy theory in this case by a disgruntled employee and the lying and underhanded agenda will continue as planned. I figured at this point we have all that is going to come out on it so I would supply as usual the whole story as we now have it and see what you think being able to evaluate it all at once!

First like you I am sick of Hillary! I do not care what her sex is! I will fill in the blanks shortly. This blows me away!
The next President is being set up to look the failure as Bush is said to be victorious. He is trying to escape the reality of the nightmare he created! I found hundreds of stories involving the inevitable civil war Bush ignored going back to the very beginning and 2 years before I converted from writing books to trying to connect to people every day. The underlying theme in over 100 stories was Democracy at the point of a gun and that every single time Bush declared things were going well and Iraqi's scored another victory they fell ever deeper into the hell on earth called Iraq that he created.

Numerous times we said from the beginning that Bush attacked Iraq only to attack Iran and help Israel establish a safety zone and new middle east order that would end up in total middle east breakdown involving Sunni against Shiite with Israel and the US right in the middle. This is coming closer to reality every day despite Bush and McCain's bragging of success. I often think because of. Of late with McCain having hung his hat on the success of Iraq that as expected is beginning to blow wide open I have been writing that I am increasingly concerned that Bush knows Republicans are not only losing more and more influence in the Senate and the House but thanks to the increase of his created violence in Iraq he knows Republicans are going to lose the Presidency too.

It was only a matter of time before the future of Iraq, the middle east, and Americans was stolen by Republicans I began to expect by having the election stolen once again in a growing number of ways for McCain so the right wing war mongering new order agenda could continue.

Neither candidate campaigned in either state, and Obama wasn't on Michigan's ballot. Clinton -- who trails Obama in delegates and would benefit from validated victories in those two states -- wants all of Florida's and Michigan's delegates to have votes at the party convention.
