BP says it is time to cut back hell it's time to redouble the effort and be honest about this ecological crisis, they're going to kill these people too

I posted this last week but after listening to Philippe Cousteau on the dire situation in the Gulf I thought I would do my share and reissue this warning. It really blows me away that Obama, Thad Allen, BP, and most politicians in the Gulf keep saying how great things are in the gulf and how safe the seafood is. learn about Philippe Cousteau

Hell we know better! In a best case scenario there are still 50 million gallons of oil there and some 2 million gallons of deadly dispersant. The fish have to swim through it regardless of how dispersed it is. Oysters, shellfish, plankton, birds, lobsters, everything will be altered for numerous years and generations.

They just want to rebuild their economy and could care less about the health of the people and the effect that poison will have on the air, water, ground, and people. The long term impact will be significant. This is not okay as Thad, Obama, BP, and the rest of them want you to think.

I am really concerned about this! They're cutting back? They can't find enough oil to clean up? Time to scale back? Have we been imagining all this? 200 million gallons of oil and 2 million gallons of death "dispersant" and they can't find enough to clean up? It is more horrible than I thought as I found out Thad Allen okayed BP 78 or more times to carpet bomb the Gulf with dispersant over a period of 48 days while for a longer time pouring dispersant on the oil as it poured out of the ground.

Do they remember what the marsh looks like covered with thick sludge, all the dead birds, and no signs of life in the estuaries where all the sea life we depend on is born? BP and the US Government are going to let those people swim in and breathe that crap that will be raining down on them and infecting crops and all life.

Gulf Oil Spill: BP Says Time For 'Scaleback' Of Cleanup Efforts

I really refuse to believe this! 50 years after a 190,000 gallon spill we had here in Massachusetts at the cape the affected area is still dead except for a few stunted fiddler crabs who can not hide under the sand because they smell the oil 3 inches below. Then in the gulf throw in the deadly dispersant!

I was researching trying to find stories about the scientists in the submersible who was searching the sea and the sea floor looking for signs of oil because they said there was no sign of damage or oil. After all that I had to think WTF? Who the heck is paying them? I ran into this report and had to include it as he mirrored what many of us say. First I had to wonder why he said nothing about the dead spots in the Chesapeake Bay since he is headquartered there?

Anyway editor Tim Studt like all of us wonders what Jacques Cousteau would say about the state of affairs of the world's oceans we just discussed again yesterday. What would he think about the floating islands of plastic garbage in the Pacific twice the size of Texas, or about rapid ocean acidification linked to increasing carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, or about changing ocean currents because of melting icecaps and glaciers, or about BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? These are all concerns that either didn't exist to any major degree or weren't even considered more than 13 years ago when Cousteau died at the age of 87. searching for Jacques Cousteau

What a frigging mess we have made of this entire planet but anyway I reiterate about the disaster that is Prince William Sound as they are doing it again and this will dwarf that. Two decades ago, Roy Dalthorp helped clean up the rocky shores of Prince William Sound after the tanker Exxon Valdez ran aground, producing what was then the largest oil spill in U.S. history. Today, with that record surpassed by the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Dalthorp struggles to breathe. He coughs, and his failing eyes sometimes tear up uncontrollably. Dalthorp told CNN that he was "slowly poisoned" during the Alaska cleanup effort -- and he says some of those now working to clean up the BP spill off Louisiana and neighboring states are risking the same fate.

They studied Clams and mussels, to fish and otters, to ducks and eagles, and even deer and bears," said Anchorage lawyer Dennis Mestas, who represented another worker who was involved in the cleanup. "But they never studied what this oil was doing to the workers -- to the human beings in Prince William Sound." Mestas warns history may be repeating itself thousands of miles away in the Gulf of Mexico, with evidence of workers getting sick, and their medical records being controlled by BP.

"After 20 years, there is no evidence suggesting that either cleanup workers or the residents of the communities affected by the Valdez spill have had any adverse health effects as a result of the spill or its cleanup," the company said. Gary Stubblefield, who he said "still struggles for each breath" as a result of the cleanup -- sued Exxon over his illness. The oil company settled for a reported $2 million, without admitting any blame, after Mestas went to an Exxon office in Houston, Texas, and viewed medical records of cleanup workers.

Exxon had asked the court to keep those records under seal to protect the workers' privacy. But Mestas said the company was forced to let him view summaries of the health records of 11,000 cleanup workers, and found that 6,722 of them had gotten sick. Of the 50000 workers most of them were sick from the oil and chemicals they were forced to work with unprotected and are still dying but Exxon says very few got sick and no one sued them. Gee! Please read all these lies

Don't be fooled know absolutely unequivocally that this monumental man made disaster will dwarf that of Prince William sound, the sea, and the people! Now what do you think about this lie you are living? I was listening to a scientist who has been studying sea life in the Gulf for 12 years but he is now afraid to go into the water without a hazmat diving suit and they can't find any oil or damage?

Mestas said shrimp, oysters, crabs, all dead. 75% of corral dead! Plankton the food source of whales, fish, and sea life, poisoned and dying. One fisherman was bringing in his net and was splashed with water with the dispersant corexit which BP used extensively suffering heart palpitations and muscle spasms and in the hospital for 3 weeks.

My son was telling me before he came home for leave he let the kids swim in the ocean because they did not see oil. It is what you do not see that is going to sicken and kill you and BP will be there to say it wasn't us. I am going to advise my son to limit my grandkids outdoor time and no ocean or their possible hazardous well being or lack there of will be on his head!

As we have been saying for months the gulf is dead for fishing they might as well destroy the rest of the earth looking for their frigging oil. At this point it is human life there itself I am concerned about, You know that shit is evaporating and will come down with the rain on crops and in drinking supplies. I wish they would stop their lying! The guy in the tape is right those people's lives do not matter they are just eaters, the little people!

This will be the worst in the world because of where it is, set aside the dispersant added in. This already is the nightmare scenario they are not talking about. You really have to question what it is they are trying to correct with this so called corexit they are pouring in the gulf to kill everything? Us the eaters who do not matter? The little people, oh the small people!

We are so screwed as we know. We do not matter and instead of doing the right thing for the people and the gulf they are going to lie until once again the awful truth becomes undeniable and they will just act surprised. WTF?

I agree, this is an unmitigated lie and disaster. When I think of all the animals and birds and fish that have been destroyed by Man's greed it is sickening.

I am sickened knowing what they did and they will get away once again saying everything is okay, Then when the severity becomes undeniable and along with the dead environment the people get sick and die because of this they will once again lie and say it wasn't us or no one knew while we all know. There is no way in hell they could really think they are or can make things right there.

I guess they think they are fooling us. Stop the leak, and instantly the gulf is purified.

Just like when a sewer line busts and floods your house. Once the line fixed and quits gushing sewage, your house becomes magically clean again. No cleaning needed!

Yeah right.

Agent orange, love canal, global nuclear cover up, here we go again. They are going to poison and kill the gulf and the people and just act stupid and get away with it. It really stinks and they could care less.

But Jim didn't you know? The oil fairy took care of everything while we were sleeping.

If the can't find the oil, it's easy to see in the satelite view. It will be years, if not decades, before we know the full extent of the harm.

I'm so pissed off. From day one we've been lied to. The only reason we know some of the truth is independent blogger's who researched things themselves. To go over all the lies would be redundant. Fine I expected BP to lie. I didn't think Obama and the Adminisration would take to lyeing for them. The oil is still there, I guarantee. That was their whold damn purpose in using corexit to start with. It Hides the oil. Out of sight out of mind. Even this mouth peice for BP that works for the Administration Carol Browner claims all is fine. She can't wait to sample sea food from the Gulf. That I want to see.
We need an independent research team to investigate. We can no longer trust our Government. That pains me to say it. Jim, this is not the end, it's just the beginning.

On Eschaton they joke that the oil was Raptured away...

Demeur I can't believe it. I was listening to them again say most of it has broken up and they are very pleased. WTF? This is a frigging mess for generations to come. That oil takes centuries but you could tell me. I can't see plankton surviving that and the oxygen killing dispersant and especially the shellfish. That shit will get in the air and fall with the rain on people, water supplies, crops, hell they are going to let everything go south and say gee it wasn't us. WTF?

Hi Tom, I just can't believe it! We had a spill here 50 years ago and the affected area is still dead except for a few fiddler crabs that are stunted. They smell the oil 3 inches below the sand. That was only 190000 gallons. I refuse to believe they are doing this and getting away with it again.

Tim we do our own research, that is the only reason we know the truth Bout anything but we are frigging powerless to do anything about it and have to live in this growing lie we live in today.

This, the global nuclear cover up, agent orange, love canal thousands and thousands of events, and they just let people die for the sake of Government and corporations. We absolutely do not matter and are just an inconvenience.

Wease ruptured is more like it and that nightmare is just beginning and no one will be held accountable for this either in the long run.

Although BP is trying to get away with it, the jury is still out on whether or not they will.

What galls me is that they want to drill a new well in the same place.

Hi Tom! I just updated this and saw your comment. I saw they wanted to drill again on that site and it pisses me off bevause I though they would not let high risk companies drill anymore? I just heard on the radio this morning that the oil situation in the Gulf is now worse than it was while it was leaking. That giant plumes that they said doesn't exist are making it's way to shore and more sea critters are dying. They said that the oil has made it's way into the blue crab and it's larvae. It will be just a matter of time before it makes it's way up the food chain.
Think I'll pass on the fish and chips and have the hamburger instead.:-)

Demeur its a lot worse and I refuse to believe they get away with saying it's okay eat the fish and enjoy. This has still yet to begin.
