Yeterday Fox News was reporting that Iraqi troop desertions were about 50%. First I just want to say I thought that has always been a problem. That also leads one to ask some obvious questions! whenever they deploy from one area or part of the country to another they lose about half of their troops. Why don't they monitor and or secure them before deploying on that type of operation?
Why can't they keep deployments hush as they must as to which day is pay day? They can't announce pay day in advance because someone would rob and kill the pay master. after pay day they typically lose another 50% of their soldiers. another question, do many of these men simply stay long enough to bring home the bacon as many of us have long suspected? They just simply go home until they need more money. so they then simply reenlist and take another chance.
Are they simply allowed to go back when they feel like it and reenlist? does anybody keep track of these AWOL's? do they just let them come and go as they please? If they didn't there probably wouldn't be enough soldiers to fill the ranks so they have to let them get away with it.
What a Hell Of a Way to Run an Army! I was wondering where they got all their new recruits? Retread deserters, very interesting way to man an Army. they say whatever works right! But this is not wotking even though we are told it is! At the least with deserters coming and going training should be quicker and easier but it isn't. we make it pay to stay stupid in this army of theirs don't we!
