Mans future: sadly It is in our hands and man can't manage anything
The day I started high school and all my world endeavors I saw what was happening and my friends thought I was crazy in 1970. It can no longer be denied! Not to get too involved now but after what has happened since Bush and our past as a warring depleting destructive country and all the crap happening right now I came to the conclusion that man is not the planets savior but his role is to bring the whole life cycle full swing and he is. A Time Line of Life's Cycles and Where We Are in Them
Under Bush it was so hard to watch and it keeps getting worse. We are at a point in man and the planets life cycle called the nurturing stage "the end" if we do not take the right steps and we refuse to accept it.
Instead we just had the Gulf of Mexico now Japan and though the time where war is sustainable is over we continue to push for more and make this planet so that no one can live on it.
We hear there are millions of universes and since we are destroying ours you have to think someone knows of another planet for us somewhere. We can't be this stupid or so you have to hope.
Did you ever read China's nasty surprise for us known as "assassins mace" or read about our "HAARP" You can Google it or I have the links having used them numerous times but not good. Here it all is from a discussion we had 2 years ago
If we have the space war no one supposedly wants but we are prepared for we are all stuck here. HAARP has been in progress for a century, do you remember when a couple years back the entire middle east went dead except for the US and Iraq? That was no accident.
Remember when a Russian and US satellite bumped into each other over Russia? That was no accident either. Read Assassins mace,it is in the link above, not good!
Also remember around 2 years ago when China took down her own satellite to see if they can? Well Russia, China, and the US can and much worse. Just the other day a tiny piece of that junk had us afraid the space station was going to be hit and they were preparing for it.
In a nut shell if they have a space war and destroy each others satellites we are all stuck on mother earth that they are destroying.
So much is made of oil and weapons but whoever owns space owns the future. Take out the satellites and aircraft carriers are dead in the water like the rest of the navy and entire modern military. "the best laid plans of men and mice" All we can do is shake our heads and go for the ride because we do not matter!
As we follow the path of the Roman Empire it will all get worse as it is and those who can pilfer the ship as they are before it sinks as they are every day and we can just watch. What a future huh? AAARRRGGGHHH!

‘Do We Really Understand Patriotism?’
What is a Patriot? A defender of liberty? What is liberty, then? In order to understand liberty as it relates to the United States, we must define it in terms of a human being, and a human being must, in turn, be defined in terms beyond the mere exigencies of life, because life to a human being enters into what is considered the realm of the spirit.
So, what is life, then, beyond the sustaining functions of the body. It is the experience of the brain interacting with the phenomena of the universe that surrounds us, through the channels of the senses, whereupon the brain creates the individual world in which each person lives. Each world thus created and experienced at the center of consciousness creates the sensations of life and identity for the individual human being.
Each world, having been created by a flesh and blood organ, our brain, and placed at the service of experience and consciousness, allows each life, within its world, to unfold from a center as it adapts and changes under the internal forces of temperament and desire while it grapples with external forces both moral/social and natural.
Each of us has gifts, all balanced in differing measures, allowing for billions of unique individuals. Each individual inhabits a unique world created, each, by a human brain with a common human heritage that binds us all into our universal spiritual existence. Some of these worlds are masculine, while others are feminine. Both are important; none more so than the other.
Powerful forces working within each of us cause the forging of a path reflecting our desires, inspirations and aspirations that leads toward the actualization of each of us at the center of our individual worlds. We might refer to this as our life’s dream. The pursuit of the individual’s life dream functions as the vehicle for the unfolding of a life.
Might liberty, then, be defined as the freedom to passionately pursue our individual life’s dream within a morality that protects others from what might be our excesses and transgressions, and one which, in turn, protects us from the the excesses and transgressions of others? In fact, the constitution of this country protects the rights of the individual against the tyranny of the majority. And shouldn’t it? Shouldn’t a society nurture the pursuit of dreams rather than inhibit them?
Women nurture...naturally and instinctively. Men protect the space within which that gentle attentive nurturing can take place and are rewarded with feelings of strength accompanied by a gentle sense of purpose and satisfaction at being able to provide safety and plenty to support the loving care of those who are vulnerable. Isn’t this expressed by the image of Mary and Joseph, of the Sacred Hearts, of both, the beautiful virgin mother and the son she so attentively raised? Doesn’t his martyred soul and tenacious divine empathy speak specifically to his love of humanity--all of humanity?
But what of those who are denied access to the resources, images, and experience that would allow these instincts to emerge undistorted. Might they be living in a world crushed and diminished by the machinations of corrupted institutions powered by the inertia of apathy, unchecked and unquestioned, as it exerts its life smothering force protected behind the cloak of “normal?”
What are the threats to liberty? Sometimes when I hear people talk, I’m reminded of an economic belief of the time of European colonialism. Back then, it was believed that there was only so much wealth in the world, and if you wanted more, you had to take it from somebody else. And they did, want more and take, as evidenced by incessant warfare, brutality, greed and plunder.
Are we coming back to that? Wealth is created. It is the product of human minds. Without the creative life’s dreaming of individuals, there would be no wealth. The more opportunities there are for the pursuit of life’s dreams, the more wealth there will be for the health and pleasure of the society. “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” right?
The American Dream is not a statistically defined, monolithic fantasy predicated on possessing copious amounts of the correct stuff. The American Dream represents the promise of the fulfillment of each individual’s dream, and not the assimilation into a single, specific, national dream. America is the fertile field of dreams. The creation and worship of monolithic idols can dull a people’s passions for life, and with promises of self-assured, righteously exclusive membership in an elite society supported by the spuriously justified suffering of others, can lull them into a sense of complacency and false security.
The blind worship of symbols and idols--national and religious--can be hijacked with the employment of rhetoric played against desires for personal security and the maintenance of status and comfort. This has happened in the past, has resulted in fascism, and can do so again if we are not vigilant.
I’m struck by recent images of immigrants standing curbside watching parades with little American Flags being waved enthusiastically in their hands. I also hear of people drawing back from them suspiciously--fearfully. Relax, these people haven’t come here to take our “stuff.” They’re here because they so passionately want to join with us in this beautiful, fertile field of dreams. Like the rest of us, they want to prosper and see the nurturing society moved forward to greater prosperity. They always have. The people populating this land before the Europeans came knew the importance of freedom.
Their belief was that every human being deserved to be free. How did you come to be a citizen of this nation? I recently heard a quote in passing while watching PBS on television. It went something like this: “The opposite of poverty is not wealth; it’s justice.” Perhaps, if liberty and justice could be extended to all of humanity, there would be no American dream. It would be a world dream.
The patriots who founded this nation fought for the freedom to pursue their dreams. They fought for the right for all citizens to be secure in their person--all of us! Does that not include our individual worlds as they are animated by our dreams? Some of this country’s dreams are simply for a home, a family and a purpose; others seek empire and personal aggrandizement. In his “Inquiry Into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations,” Adam Smith voiced his belief that the self interests of entrepreneurs could be harness through the promise of reward to provide vital services to the nation. He also warned of the brutality that could entail if these self-serving drives were allowed to express themselves unchecked. Was he not disclosing the need for a more democratic morality that was opposed to feudalism?
I believe this nation’s founding fathers held to the belief that this liberty, for which they sacrificed so much, would prevail for their children and children’s children and so on without end. The content of the dreams may change, but the passions and the needs to pursue them issue from life itself. Freedom will never become unnecessary. We will always need patriots. We will recognize them by their vigilance to threats against liberty and by their willingness to confront arrogant, megalomaniacal greed. Mothers nurture; fathers protect. The root of our word “patriot” is pater, which means Father. In the Pledge of Allegiance we say, “One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” We all have an inalienable right to pursue our individual dreams. Within your dream, you may find your place within the ranks of Patriots.

Mans future: sadly It is in our hands and man can't manage himself
As we watch world events every day Syria has taken center stage in our fight for the future and attempt at world dominance as we destroy the planet. I have been in a funk watching the Syrian people being sacrificed for nothing. This is a waste and is way to old. This is way beyond the trivial battles being waged by the common man. When the powers to be are ready the sky is going to fall but on who?
The day I started high school and all my world endeavors I saw what was happening and my friends thought I was crazy in 1970. Afghanistan businesses plan their own exits as Afghans fear what will happen when troops leave
Bombs kill 46 across Afghanistan: Suicide bombers launched multiple attacks in a remote corner of southwestern Afghanistan near the Iranian border Tuesday, killing dozens of people including shoppers buying sweets for a Muslim holiday and leaving charred and smoldering bits of cookies and dried fruit among the bodies on the ground.
A separate market bombing, this one in northern Afghanistan, brought the overall death toll to 46, most of whom were civilians. It was the deadliest day for Afghan civilians this year. The attacks in provinces on opposite ends of the country — Nimroz in the southwest and Kunduz in the north — come as Taliban insurgents and their allies step up their assaults in a display of force that often results in civilian carnage.
Afghans fear what will happen when troops leave: Among Afghans around the country interviewed by The Associated Press, the worry is pervasive. Many are deeply skeptical that Afghan police and security forces, which the U.S.-led coalition has spent years trying to build, will be able to fight insurgents and militants without American and NATO fighting alongside. Worse-case scenarios that some fear:
The Afghan forces could splinter along ethnic line and prompt civil war, the nation could plunge into a deep recession, or the Kabul government — plagued with corruption and still fragile despite efforts to establish its authority — would remain too weak to hold off a Taliban takeover. Just a 45-minute drive south of Kabul, residents of Wardak province directly feel the tenuousness. The province is a battleground for Afghan and coalition forces trying to squash hotbeds of the Taliban. Residents quickly warn visitors that it’s dangerous just to go past a checkpoint less a kilometer (half-mile) outside the provincial capital, Maidan Shahr.
In Afghanistan, Businesses Plan Their Own Exits: America may be struggling to come up with a viable exit plan for Afghanistan, but Abdul Wasay Manani is sure of his. This month, Mr. Manani, 38, flew to India for 14 days to scout out a new business, and a new home, ready to leave Afghanistan and everything he worked to build here, just in case things fall apart when most Americans and other foreign troops leave in 2014. “If the Taliban come like last time, ordering people around with whips, I can’t stay here,” he said. “I have to leave this country to keep my family safe.”
Many Afghans share his concern. In this environment, troubling indicators are not hard to find. More than 30,400 Afghans applied for asylum in industrialized nations in 2011, the highest level in 10 years and four times the number seeking asylum in 2005. The only Western bank operating here said on Wednesday that it would be leaving. Piles of cash equaling about a quarter of Afghanistan’s annual economic output were physically carried out of Afghanistan last year.
I just do not get it. If those people know how bad their life is going to be under the Taliban then why do they not fight to defeat them? *Vietnam all over again regardless of what they say. They are now offering the Taliban to join in the Government.
I really do not care what they do. Our soldiers did their job. We should get them out now with heads held high for a job well done. They have performed magnificently. The Taliban are going to take over again regardless and the people know it that is why everyone who can is making preparations to get out now.

SCOTUS BS ruling was so industry could sink Obama's agenda!

Obama attacks US Supreme Court election ruling
America is a Corporatocracy! I can't believe the SCOTUS just took it upon themselves to kill our Democracy altogether. 5-4 that's a so called conservative court for you! I am quite stunned actually that supposed educated so called legal minds can equate buying what you want in politics as freedom of speech. Obama Turns Up Heat Over Ruling on Campaign Spending
President Obama lambasted the Supreme court injustices for handing a huge victory to special interests and their lobbyists as the so called conservative led Supreme court lifted restrictions on campaign funding by corporations and unions. No kidding! What a coincidence huh? With mid terms approaching the corporations and unions can now lead the way in bringing down the Democrats and their agenda.
Blatant lying and fear mongering using radio and TV advertisements is what those scum are getting away with calling freedom of speech? Now we will just see the asinine lies used in the Health care debates used to bring down the Democrats only now the lying ads will be on steroids as they take the lead in defeating Obama's agenda and the Democrats. I do not like this!
Our so called Democracy has been subverted by a Corpratocracy sanctioned and legalized by SCOTUS! Republicans are ecstatic while while Democrats are disappointed as we all should be. This does not strike at Democracy as President Obama says. To start with this is not a Democracy and has not been since the last Administration. This is not a Democracy this is a facade of a Democracy only used to Pursue a hidden agenda.
* Democracy is Dead! Obama thinks he is going to get a bipartisan panel to work on ways to try and stop this? Forget it! Republicans are ecstatic. They smell blood! Brown and then this. They see the beginning of the end of Obama his agenda and the dominance of the Democratic party and their agenda whatever that was. The Republican five declared a victory for the first Amendment and freedom of speech. My eye! It was a defeat of our Democracy and a victory for Republican Corporatocracy!
