Nearly 1900 killed in Syria during talks of peace that will never happen:

Syrians have unwittingly and bravely gotten themselves caught in the middle of the fight for a new middle east order we started and the middle east will have to fight. I hope we can largely stay out of it. I do not want to see it devolve into WW3 and it will if Islamists succeed in dragging Israel into this.

Nearly 1900 killed in Syria during peace talks:  The Observatory says those killed include at least 430 civilians who died from bombs, snipers and missiles. The rest were rebels, al-Qaida militants and forces loyal to President Bashar Assad. The conference in Geneva didn't produce any tangible results but is expected to kick off prolonged negotiations to try to resolve the conflict.

3 years ago Soldiers in Syria were going door to door in Deraa and Douma knocking on doors even in the middle of the night and shooting people as they answer the door and then shooting everyone in the house. Now they have graduated to obliterating whole villages that back the protesters.
Supposedly this expected situation is begging for us to get involved but we damn well better not. Unless that is going to war with Iran is the goal.

Bad idea as UN Security Council may tackle Syria violence WTF? Play right into Syria and Iran's hand why don't you? Go ahead make their day!

Those of you that follow me know going after Iran is why Bush lied to get attack Iraq and get back into the Middle East. Iran is helping Syria, us helping the protesters is exactly what Iran wants so they can bring out in the open the war against the United States.

I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.

Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East. He has long wanted a Korea style force in Iraq to secure the peace! We were concerned because we knew that would never work in Iraq or the Middle East! Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program would be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale!

I still see a total civil war Sunni against Shiite erupting in the Middle East because Bush freed up Iran to instigate it on their end and they are. I still am concerned we will have a permanent presence in the Middle East but feel we will have to largely leave Iraq to her own demise. We will still be there but it looks like Yemen, and the Gulf of Aden will be the prime focus unless Iran gets something going between the US and Iran.

As you know, I talk about it often as I watch Bush's new Middle East (dis)order progress. He ignored Afghanistan so he could use the patriot acts powers to divert from Afghanistan to attack Iraq using the excuse of unseating Saddam so he could get in the Middle East to help Israel establish a buffer zone and establish a new middle east (dis) order or so Israel and Cheney thought. Bush at Cheney's urging made an abrupt shift in policy towards Syria, a shift that has now brought the entire Mideast region to the brink of war and chaos. Much worse than the hell on earth they created for Iraq. Did you ever read A clean Break

That plan was put together in 1996 for Israel. They were just waiting for an idiot to come along so they could implement their plan for the Middle East. Along came the life long follower and life long alcoholic loser Georgie Bush. I wish I could say the rest is History but this is still barely beginning and just beginning to take shape. All Bush did by ignoring Afghanistan and attacking Iraq was to guarantee a loss of everything and a complete Middle East and Asian Breakdown.

He freed Iran up to pursue her version of new middle East order by interfering wherever she could while Bush was doing the same thing with his Middle East Democratization program. I think you can see how successful Bush and Cheney were with chaos creating Middle East Democracy program but you are barely seeing the results they created in Iran.

The goal absolutely is to be the country who decides which direction the new Middle East (dis)order will take. Bush started it by attacking Iraq to get into the middle east to destabilize it and start the new middle east order the idiot said God told him to do now it will be up to Iran and Saudi Arabia at least up front fight it out whether this goes the Iranian Shiite way or the Saudi Arabian Sunni way and do not forget Israel!

Both will fail! It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran!

The entire middle east and north Africa and our more than century of interference and exploitation can take the blame for that too. Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program is going to be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale if we are still there when this breaks open! Looking at the war cabinet Obama has amassed I am going to say at this point that this is going to happen even under a President Obama. Watch out Iran!

Assad warns Israel as 'rebels flood Qusayr: Sounds like a trap for all involved

You can see Israel taking out Russia's missiles and there is a big concern there because the S300 is advanced and most likely fields a Russian crew ordered to defend its interests. With so much being poured into Qusayr and so much death and destruction, I hate to say it but it is merely a sign of things to come unless someone capitulates.

Now we hear Russia is going to upset what little balance is left by sending Syria 10 mig-29's Russia warned not to deliver missiles to Syria

Iran and Syria seem to be welcoming our response as they are also influencing the Shiite leadership in Iraq and eager to impress their version of a new Middle East order which Bush set in motion by attacking Iraq and freeing especially Iran to pursue.

Another Proxy war is going on and is setting up this one between the west and their Middle East allies and Syria, Hezbollah and and Iran, armaments as need happily supplied by Russia and the EU supplying the protesters.

George w Bush purposely did this in his infinite stupidity: I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to.

Actually Russia, China and Lebanon have blocked a move for the UN Security Council to condemn Syria's crackdown on dissent. Sanctioning slaughter is more like it! I believe I remember hearing Russia weigh in against what Syria and Iran are doing but China has yet to weigh in. Any way you look at it we are playing into Iran’s hand.

You have to be very concerned about what is happening in Syria especially. Iran and Hezbollah are not going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy. Iran is in Syria helping Bashar Assad and they do not want us interfering. What we saw after the voter fraud in Iran was mild compared to what the IRG will do if this movement spreads to Iran. I really wish Assad would step down but Iran is the elephant in the room any way you look at it. The total Middle East breakdown we have written about numerous times is well under way. We can only hope we keep it from erupting into WW3.

After 6 high assassinations Some officials on condition of anonymity say it might be time for Assad to step down and that he no longer listens to advice!

Some officials on condition of anonymity say it might be time for Assad to step down and that he no longer listens to advice! We have confirmation from the Free Syrian Army, from the battalion itself that an operation took place and that it has assassinated six of Bashar al-Assad's highest ranking officials! Syrian army shelling, gunfire kills 34 in Hama: group

The vain search for dialogue in a battle-scarred Syria:

Syria: Damascus clashes prompt claims of high-level assassinations: Damascus clashes prompt claims of high-level assassinations. State media in Syria have denied claims by the Free Syrian Army that it has assassinated six of Bashar al-Assad's highest ranking officials. We have confirmation from the Free Syrian Army, from the battalion itself that an operation took place yesterday.

We still have other four figures who did not appear so far and perhaps they may not appear. Some of them might be recovering from what happened last night. We were told that they were poisoned but we do not know who died last night, as I told you, so maybe the regime is taking some time now to try to solve what is happening, trying to cover up for what happened.

Syrian army shelling, gunfire kills 34 in Hama: group: Syrian army shelling and gunfire killed 34 people, including children, on Sunday in the town of Souran in the central province of Hama, the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. "The army shelled the town and then stormed it," the head of the group Rami Abdelrahman told Reuters, citing residents.

Iran and Syria seem to be welcoming our response as they are also influencing the Shiite leadership in Iraq and eager to impress their version of a new Middle East order which Bush set in motion by attacking Iraq and freeing especially Iran to pursue. The IRG has taken the lead in the latest attacks on protester strongholds. Full blown war and nothing less. Assad will go nowhere!

Another Proxy war is going on and is setting up this one between the west and their Middle East allies and Syria and Iran.

Suicide bombers maybe but is it the Syrian Government killing her people to gain world sympathy for her slaughter of them?

Hezbollah TV reports 30 killed, 55 wounded in car-bomb attacks; Syrian state television says initial investigations indicate al Qaida behind bombings: "The terrorist attacks left a number of martyrs, both civilian and military. Most of the victims were civilian," Syrian TV said in a news flash. State television also claimed that initial investigations indicated that al Qaida was behind the attacks. A witness from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said he heard heavy gunfire break out after the blasts. This is definitely Al Qaeda's MO killing civilians but?

Suicide bomb kills 25 in Damascus: Syrian TV: Syrian state television earlier showed body parts, bloodstains and broken glass from the blast in the central Maidan district, along with people shouting that this was the work of "terrorists." Several riot police shields could be seen in a wrecked bus, which was among several damaged vehicles. "Immediate information indicates that a suicide terrorist blew himself up at a traffic light in the Maidan neighborhood," state television said. "There are dozens of dead and wounded, mostly civilians."

The Government is blaming this attack too on terrorist or more likely protesters. Read the report and you will agree that once again the Government did it killing a few of their own and mostly civilians to gain world sympathy for their brutal slaughter of her own people.

This really brings the confusion in Syria and the middle east and the world full swing for me. Once again I am left dumbfounded. From the beginning with the occurrence of 9/11 we were told and we knew that we were in a different world that required a new way of thinking. Meanwhile we routinely prove incapable of doing that when confronted with the so called terrorists.

However we have done exactly that when it comes to the average well intentioned citizens of the world. In every Government in the world today lying has become the new truth. Governments including the United States routinely lie in order to create a grey area in which to hide the truth from the people of the world so we do not know who is telling the truth, what the truth is, and they can follow their deceitful destructive agenda.

Syria and Bashar Al-Assad appear to be the masters. From the beginning of the chaos in Syria we have been saying that Iran more specifically the IRG (Iran Revolutionary Guard) was in Syria helping if not leading the way in trying to quell the uprising. You know Bashar's only friend Iran is dictating that this slaughter is a necessity though Syria knows how to brutalize its people all to well. Iran will not allow a Democracy at her door step further isolating her.

That in itself defies logic because Iran is Shiite and Bashar and the ruling minority is Sunni like Al Qaeda and Saudi Arabia who we said would come to the aid of the citizens who are largely Shiite. It is all very confusing. Al Qaeda would not destroy Sunni security offices killing Sunni forces or would they?

However Bashar has already proven capable of killing his own to blame it on protesters and further his cause. He is also flat out lying saying protesters have killed 2000 of his security forces, a number pulled out of the air in order to kill and quell those against him.

Syrian Rebel Leader Vows 'Surprise' for Regime and the whole world

Syrian rebels eye 'huge operations' against regime: The Free Syrian Army plans to kick off "huge operations" this week against "vital interests" of President Bashar al-Assad's regime, the force's commander said Wednesday.
"We prepared ourselves for this stage," Col. Riad al-Asaad told CNN in Turkey. "We can't force him off with the peaceful demonstrations, so we are going to force him by arms to leave." The anti-government resistance movement, which emerged over the summer, comprises defectors from the massive and better-equipped Syrian army.

Armed groups trained in Jordan, Turkey infiltrate Syria : In the past two months, Syrian and Arab volunteers infiltrated Syria after completing their training on street fighting, mine and improvised explosive devices planting, storming military barracks and security centers.

According to Arab sources, these fighters infiltrated Syrian territory from Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and the Kurdish and Sunni regions of Iraq.
These fighters entered Syria carrying with them large quantities of small and medium arms including Russian SAM-7 anti-aircraft missiles and anti tank rockets. These fighters are ready "to start the Winter War" against the forces loyal to the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

This fight will be in cooperation with defectors from the Syrian army, called "the free Syrian army" led by Colonel Riyadh al-Assad, who began the implementation of the plan from inside the Turkish border. Syrian rebel sources conveyed that the armies in Jordan and Turkey oversee the training of these anti-regime elements. These sources maintain that the only choice faced by the world, the Arab League and the Syrian people is to declare an armed resistance against the regime of Bashar al-Assad and his "gangs."

Syrian Rebel Leader Vows 'Surprise' for Regime: The head of the Free Syrian Army is fed up with the ineffectual Arab League observer mission, and if it doesn’t show some progress soon, he’s going to “take a decision which will surprise the regime and the whole world

The IRG and Syria will stop for nothing and talk will only give them more time to kill more. Bashar has purposely created this civil war rather than stepping down. You can bet he had and has Iran's backing.

Syrians are going to have to do this themselves with covert Arab help unless WW3 is the goal. I am afraid that, that will be the case once someone gets the war with Iran out in the open. Keeping it from becoming WW3 is the best we can hope for but Russia sending war ships over there makes me wonder and now China is speaking up.

I know the protesters vowed not to be deterred stating they will break the Government period, the time to prove it is near. The Syrian Government will kill and arrest who they have too. Iran will accept nothing less and they "the IRG" are in charge! The elephant in the room is Iran and they are not now and will not in the future stand idly by and allow Syria to fall to Democracy.

I remember the Syrian opposition saying that they would not stop and would ultimately defeat the Government saying Democratic transition would safeguard Syria from violence. As outsiders looking in we know nothing could be further from the truth. People are being imprisoned and murdered and I can not see that stopping until the Democracy movement is crushed. Supposedly this expected situation is begging for us to get involved but we damn well better not. Unless that is going to war with Iran is the goal.

I still see a total civil war Sunni against Shiite erupting in the Middle East because Bush freed up Iran to instigate it on their end and they are. I still am concerned we will have a permanent presence in the Middle East but feel we will have to largely leave Iraq to her own demise.

Syria defies today's logic: Syria is upside down

First implication of Al Qaeda civilian slaughter in Syria? I don't think so but?

Syria pulls tanks from streets as Arab League observers in Homs - live updates: Russia offers Bashar Al-Assad asylum

The Israeli Maariv newspaper on Sunday reported that Russia proposed to the Syrian Vice President Farouk al-Shara to assume the powers of President Bashar al-Assad for a transitional period and until elections are being held. This in exchange for Assad being granted a political asylum in Moscow.

The newspaper added that the Russian proposal is one of the offers raised to resolve the crisis in Syria. It says that the United States agreed to this proposal. According to Ma'ariv, the difficult situation in Syria and the fear of the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood to power raise concern in Russia , which is Syria's closest ally in the region.

The first question is how is this going to affect Iran who is holding naval exercises on how to shut down the Strait Of Hormuz and stop the worlds oil which they say they can do if pushed?

Iran begins 10-day drill in Strait of Hormuz: Iran has kicked off 10 days of naval exercises in the Strait of Hormuz. Concerns are now being raised over a possible closure of the world's most strategic oil transit channel in the event of an outbreak of military conflict between Tehran and the West.

Drills on one of the busiest straits in the world. The military drills, dubbed "Velayat-e 90", comes as tension between the West and Iran is escalating over Iran's nuclear program. Israel and the United States have not ruled out military action if diplomacy and sanctions fail to rein in Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Is Iran legally permitted to close Strait of Hormuz to countries that impose ... Who the hell cares is it is legal or not?

Lavrov: Russian Draft Resolution on Syria Aims at Guaranteeing Its Stability, Ceasing Violence, Holding National Dialogue: He pointed out that throughout the 2011 events in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia sought to adopt a course that ends violence, protects human rights and helps all sides of conflicts to resolve issues peacefully through dialogue, affirming his country's readiness to continue developing partnerships with the region's countries on the basis of equality and reciprocal interests. Talking does not work unless it is to alleviate the fatigue of war! There is no fatigue here from Syria and Iran only the desire to fight, kill, and dominate.

Syrian Army 'Kills 20' As Arab League Arrives: A renewed military campaign in Syria has reportedly killed at least 20 people as an Arab League delegation arrives in the country to assess the ongoing crisis. Heavy machine gun fire and mortar shells fired by government troops targeted the Baba Amr district of Homs, activists said. It is the third day of violence following car bombs that rocked the capital Damascus which killed 44 people and wounded over 100 more.

Syria: Arab League observers head to Homs - live updates

The observers will make no difference unless Syria lets them close to where they are slaughtering civilians and starts killing them too so they can blame it on protesters. The IRG and Syria will stop for nothing and talk will only give them more time to kill more.

You have to be very concerned about what is happening in Syria especially. Iran is not going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy,Iran is in Syria helping Bashar Assad. What we saw after the voter fraud in Iran was mild compared to what the IRG will do if this movement spreads to Iran. I really wish Bashar would step down but Iran is the elephant in the room any way you look at it. The total middle east breakdown we have written about numerous times is well under way. We can only hope we keep it from erupting into WW3.

Syria and Iran relationship strategic and stronger than ever

Syria, Iran: We will never give in to foreign pressure: Syria's opposition may have plans to cut ties with Ahmadinejad's Iran but for now Tehran, Damascus are closer than ever before. News agencies reported that Syrian Vice President Farouk al-Sharaa thanked the Islamic Republic for standing by the Syrian people and government steadfastly during hard times and said that Syrian leaders will never give in to foreign pressure.

He said the Syrian leaders will never sway under the pressures exerted by foreigners to make them lower their friendly ties with the Muslim Iranian nation. Sharaa described the Tehran-Damascus relationship as strong and strategic and hailed the two countries’ efforts and cooperation meant to reinforce the resistance front against the "Zionist regime".

Russia sent war ships to Syria: According to Russian sources, the recent move conveys the message that Moscow will block any NATO-led attack under the guise of “humanitarian intervention,” The Nation reported. Russia has been voicing support for Syria, which it says is currently going through a civil war.

That will leave Iran and Syria to crush this revolt by the people and they will unless the entire majority of the Syrian Army revolts and joins the protesters and their brothers in arms that already have.Syrians are going to have to do this themselves unless WW3 is the goal. I am afraid that, that will be the case once someone gets the war with Iran out in the open. Keeping it from becoming WW3 is the best we can hope for but Russia sending war ships over there makes me wonder.

I know the protesters vowed not to be deterred stating they will break the Government period but there is no way. The Syrian Government will kill and arrest who they have too. Iran will accept nothing less and they "the IRG" are in charge! The elephant in the room is Iran and they are not now and will not in the future stand idly by and allow Syria to fall to Democracy.

This is all our fault after more than a century of interference in the Middle East and Africa. Bush set it all in motion by attacking Iraq to get into the middle east to destabilize it and start the new middle east order the idiot said God told him to do now it will be up to Iran and Saudi Arabia at least up front fight it out whether this goes the Iranian Shiite way or the Saudi Arabian Sunni way and do not forget Israel!

Those of you that follow me know going after Iran is why Bush lied to get to attack Iraq and get back into the Middle East.

As expected this democratization started by Bush has taken on a life of its own.

Saddam Hussein with his lies about possessing WMD kept Iran in check. Bush freed Iran up to pursue her version of new middle East order by interfering wherever she could while Bush was doing the same thing with his Middle East Democratization program. I think you can see how successful Bush and Cheney were with their chaos creating Middle East Democracy program but you are barely seeing the results they created in Iran.

He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.

Actually Russia, China and Lebanon have blocked a move for the UN Security Council to condemn Syria's crackdown on dissent. Sanctioning slaughter is more like it!

You have to be very concerned about what is happening in Syria especially. Iran is not going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy,Iran is in Syria helping Bashar Assad. Army defectors increasingly killing soldiers signaling the undeniable arrival of civil war in Syria

Syrian army defectors have killed six government troops in heavy fighting in the country's rebellious central region, activists said, in the latest sign that the nation's uprising may be shifting toward civil war. It is spreading as this follows recent tit for tat killings.

Syrian Army Defectors Kill 27 Soldiers as Armed Conflict Spreads: The attack in the southern governorate of Daraa, where the nine-month uprising against Assad began, came after eight Syrian soldiers died in an ambush by deserters near Hama. At least 32 civilians were also killed yesterday. Human Rights Watch today accused Syrian military and intelligence officials of giving both “direct and standing orders to use lethal force.”

Syria’s repression of protests has led to defections from the army and an escalation of clashes in which both sides are armed. Assad has blamed the unrest on foreign provocateurs and the government has used tanks, armored vehicles and artillery to crush the uprising. “The statements of soldiers and officers who defected from the Syrian military and intelligence agencies leave no doubt that the abuses were committed in pursuance of state policy and that they were directly ordered, authorized, or condoned at the highest levels of Syrian military and civilian leadership,” New York-based Human Rights Watch said in a report published today.

40 dead in Syria as troops raid Hama: As the Syrian revolt enters its 10th month, the pressure on the regime of President Bashar al-Assad has been increasing. Additionally, the death toll among civilians and members of the security and military forces is on the rise, with conflicting reports on the number of dead on Wednesday.

Activists reported that the government militia ("Chabihah") stormed Hama to end the general strike, but encountered resistance from dissidents from the army. Activists said Syrian troops backed by tanks killed at least ten people when they stormed yesterday the city of Hama. In response, dissidents from the Syrian army attacked a convoy of military jeeps outside of Hama, killing eight soldiers, according to various sources. At least 30 people were killed in other parts of Syria.

Iranian Kayhan Newspaper stressed that intensifying media and political pressures and spending huge sums of money by the Western and regional countries to create chaos in Syria come in the framework of a Western-Zionist scheme aiming at undermining the last fort of resistance in the region and at achieving the Zionist dream in imposing hegemony on it.

The Newspaper on Thursday indicated that Syria's enemies, particularly the Zionists, have failed to achieve their goals in this regard after more than nine months, and that is what forced them to change their style. It affirmed that Syria will always remain a steadfast castle in the face of the Zionist plots.

The entire military must defect but Iran will still not capitulate and they are the real elephant in the room in Syria.

This is all our fault after more than a century of interference in the Middle East and Africa. Syrians await global action as Iranian Official Threatens Military Drill Sealing Off the Strait of Hormuz and US troops surround Syria on the eve of invasion?

Activists: Syrian army defectors kill 7 government forces: The retribution comes amid growing world outrage over the 9-month-long government crackdown on protesters in Syria. The group said security forces had opened fire "indiscriminately" in the villages of Maarat Masreen and Kafr Bahmoul near the city of Idlib, killing 11 and wounding many others.

Iranian Official Threatens Military Drill Sealing Off the Strait of Hormuz: “Soon we will hold a military maneuver on how to close the Strait of Hormuz,” Sarvari, a member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security Committee, said in a statement reported by Reuters. “If the world wants to make the region insecure, we will make the world insecure.” Well? I didn't think this could happen, now what do you think will happen?

Syrians await global action: The only UN body with real power that can impose sanctions and refer Assad to the International Criminal Court is the UN Security Council. But there Russia and China, with their veto power already used once and threatened to be employed again, remain Assad’s staunchest defenders. But if world leaders are truly committed to seeing Assad go, then they must mobilize together to see that he does leave, and here the US can play a critical leadership role...

US troops surround Syria on the eve of invasion? Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, formerly a translator with the FBI, wrote over the weekend that American soldiers are among the NATO troops that have mysteriously and suddenly landed on the Jordanian and Syrian border. According to her, several sources internationally have confirmed the news, although the US media has been instructed to temporarily censor itself from reporting the news.

I don't suspect we will attack Syria we will be busy with Iran which was our original reason for attacking Iraq. Turkey with the 2nd largest military in NATO says they are fully prepared to take them on. Russia and China will not sit still as they already have warships there and Russia at least vows to keep everyone out. The total middle east breakdown we knew was coming because of Bush's Iraq attack gets closer every second.

Syria Embassies empty and safe haven offered to Bashar Al-Assad. Arab leaders don't get it,open war is the goal and is coming. WTF?

Syrian protesters have stormed the Saudi and Qatari embassies in the capital to express their outrage at an Arab League's decision to suspend Syria's membership

Pressure mounted on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday as Turkey evacuated citizens from its diplomatic missions and the Arab League scheduled a meeting in Morocco on Wednesday to explore further action against the Syrian government. Among the measures that will be discussed are possible ways of providing protection for civilians in Syria, the Arab League’s secretary general, Nabil Elaraby, told reporters in Tripoli, the Libyan capital.

I refuse to believe we are moving towards UN and military intervention in this which is a precursor to war with Iran, a total middle east breakdown, and more notably WW3 which Iran seems to want unless China, Russia, and the United States can keep this contained to the region and I doubt it.

al bawaba news: Syrians raid Saudi, Qatari embassies: Syrian protesters have stormed the Saudi and Qatari embassies in the capital to express their outrage at an Arab League's decision to suspend Syria's membership. The incident occurred late on Saturday when thousands of Syrians encouraged by the regime poured into the streets of Damascus to stage protest rallies in front of the Qatari, Saudi, Turkish and US embassies.Pro-regime demonstrations were also held in Syria's major cities of Aleppo, Raqqa, Lattakia, Tartous, Hasaka and Sweida.

Some Arab leaders have told the United States they are willing to provide safe haven to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to hasten his "inevitable" departure from power, a senior U.S. official said on Wednesday. "Almost all the Arab leaders, foreign ministers who I talk to say the same thing: Assad's rule is coming to an end. It is inevitable," Feltman, who is in charge of near eastern affairs, told a Senate panel. I am afraid Arab leaders do not get the brevity and reality of what is happening in Syria and the middle east.

"The decision of the Arab League to suspend Syria... represents a dangerous step," Muallem told a packed news conference in Damascus. "Today there is a crisis in Syria which pays the price of its strong positions. Syria will not budge and will emerge stronger... and plots against Syria will fail," said the minister. Muallem said that the Syrian government was not concerned about the likelihood of foreign military intervention in the country, due to the opposition of China and Russia. "Syria is not Libya. The Libyan scenario will not be repeated; what is happening in Syria is different from what happened in Libya and the Syrian people should not worry," he said.

No kidding! With threats of war with Iran in their nuclear drive this too is all leading to the same desired direction. War with Iran is only one of the original reasons Bush attacked Iraq to get in the middle east. Iran's IRG and the US have both been instigating to get their clandestine proxy war out in the open. It is coming closer every day and will not be denied. Keeping it contained to the middle east and not becoming WW3 is our only hope.

We are playing right into their hand! Like Israel does not care what the world thinks because they have the United States neither does Syria care what the Arab League and the world do because they have Iran. A reminder if needed:
Iran and Syria seem to be welcoming our response as they are also influencing the Shiite leadership in Iraq and eager to impress their version of a new Middle East order which Bush set in motion by attacking Iraq and freeing especially Iran to pursue.

Another Proxy war is going on and is setting up this one between the west and their Middle East allies and Syria and Iran.

You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! Arab League suspends Syria as Syria takes bloody turn; 250 killed in 11 days as Syria and Iran taunt the west

Syria takes bloody turn; 250 killed in 11 days: Syrians snatched from their homes turn up dead, often mutilated. Soldiers gun down former comrades who defected to the opposition. A human rights group reports that electric shocks and hot iron rods are used to torture detainees.November is shaping up to be the bloodiest month yet in Syria's 8-month-old uprising. More than 250 Syrian civilians have been killed in the past 11 days as the regime besieges the renegade city of Homs and the conflict takes a dangerous turn, stoking fears of civil war

albawaba news: Syrian security forces fired on anti-government protests Friday, killing at least 20 people, activists said. The bloodshed came as Human Rights Watch accused Bashar Assad's regime of possible crimes against humanity in the crackdown that has killed at least 3,500 since mid-March, the AP reported.
In addition to ongoing military operations in the flashpoint city of Homs, activists said fierce clashes were taking place Friday in the northern town of Khan Shaikhoun near the Turkish border between the military and army defectors. Human Rights Watch said Syrian forces have tortured and killed civilians in Homs province. "Homs is a microcosm of the Syrian government's brutality," said Whitson. In a 63-page report...

Rights Group Details Brutal Ongoing Crackdown in Homs: The report, "'We Live as in War': Crackdown on Protesters in the Governorate of Homs", is based on more than 110 interviews with victims and witnesses from Homs, an area that has emerged as the most restive governorate in Syria since anti-government protests erupted in mid-March.

Al Jazeera: Arab league weighs action: The Arab League has come under mounting pressure to suspend Syria's membership as it meets to discuss the country's steadily worsening eight month crisis. More than 250 Syrian civilians have been killed in the past 11 days as the conflict takes a dangerous turn. The regional bloc faces calls, from within its ranks and from European countries, to act as its 22 member states meet in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Saturday after an earlier deal with Syria failed to achieve an end to the violence in that country. as a result the Arab League has suspended Syria: The Arab League called on Syria's army to stop the killing of civilians on Saturday and said it was suspending Syria from the regional body in a surprise move that turns up the heat on President Bashar al-Assad. The League will impose economic and political sanctions on Assad's government and has appealed to its member states to withdraw their ambassadors from Damascus, said Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim.

Like Israel does not care what the world thinks because they have the United States neither does Syria care what the Arab League and the world do because they have Iran. A reminder if needed:

Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program is going to be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale if we are still there when this breaks open! Looking at the war cabinet Obama has amassed I am going to say at this point that this is going to happen even under a President Obama.

Iran is not going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy,Iran is in Syria helping Bashar Assad and they do not want us interfering.
