Ahmadinejad and Bush at General Assembly meeting, Chavez will have his ringside seat but?

U.N. officials say "they expect" Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to travel to New York City to attend the 2006 General Assembly.

Ahmadinejad will be at the U.N. at the same time key members of the security council will gather to decide what type of sanctions to impose on the Iranian regime for its refusal to suspend its "enrichment" of nuclear fuel.
He wants his confrontation with Bush, what will happen?
Iran's U.N. mission in New York City had no comment on the expected presidential visit, however late Wednesday evening, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) confirmed that Ahmadinejad told his cabinet in Tehran that he intended to visit New York City and speak at the United Nations. In addition to the Iranian president, the U.N. also confirms that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, another Bush antagonist, also plans to visit the Big Apple at the same time.

President Bush is expected to address the U.N. General Assembly on the same day as Ahmadinejad, September 19. Bush will address the U.N. at 11:30 a.m., the Iranian takes to the same podium at 7 p.m.

Iran's president proposed yesterday that he and President Bush should hold a public debate, and suggested that the U.N. General Assembly later this month would be the perfect place.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad first proposed last month that he and Bush should debate, and the White House had dismissed the idea, saying it was a "diversion" from the concerns the international community has about Iran's nuclear program.

In a speech to a religious conference, Ahmadinejad said the U.N. would allow Americans and people around the world to watch and listen to such a debate without censorship, according to his official web site.

In his latest overture, Ahmadinejad said Bush would be able to bring advisers to the debate.

We are ready to discuss the ways of managing the world for achieving justice, peace, friendship and removing violations and threats," he said in the speech, according to the web site. to say that the period of bullying has expired, but false advocators of democracy avoided it because of their arrogance and lack of logic," I really think this is a great idea and the perfect opportunity for someone to make a fool of themselves, we'll have to wait and see what transpires.

Wow, to be there! I can see Bush hemming and hawing now! Remember this?

The hypocrisy of the Bush administration is evident amongst other places in its relations with North Korea. While the United States is busy developing a new generation of nukes, the Bush White House has tried desperately to politically isolate North Korea because of its nuclear weapons program.
Apparently though, Israel, India and Pakistan are permitted to possess nuclear weapons because they are allies of the United States, or so goes Bush administration logic.
The hypocrisy of the Bush administration is clearly evident in its targeting of alleged rogue states--Venezuela, Syria, Iran and North Korea--while supporting non-democratic and repressive regimes in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, among others. The Bush administration's militaristic rhetoric and actions have not only resulted in increasing numbers of people around the globe viewing U.S. foreign policy as a significant destabilizing factor in international relations, it has also made clear exactly who is the world's principal warmonger. http://www.colombiajournal.org/....

Chavez, a harsh critic of U.S. foreign policy, also said he would seek a front-row seat if President George W. Bush accepted an invitation from Iran's Ahmadinejad to a televised debate, adding he would be cheering on the Iranian president.
Chavez's popularity shot up across the Arab world after he ordered Venezuela's envoy to Israel home earlier this month to protest Israel's military offensive against Hizbollah guerrillas in Lebanon. Many civilians died in the fighting. Chavez said: "I wish I could be sitting at the front row and watch Ahmadinejad deal Bush a knock-out blow."

I really am looking forward to finding out what is said and how Bush gets out of this. Chavez it looks like, will have his ring side seat to see Bush embarrass himself. This could be interesting! I can't say I blame him or anyone else for their anti American feelings. I hate to say it but our own President appears to be the purveyor of much of the worlds danger and unrest.
This is his idea of a new world order? He will destroy the world to achieve it, what does that tell you?
