Analysis: Pakistan's double-game: treachery: Washington has just about had it with Pakistan however Pakistan can fall back into the arms of its "all-weather friend," China, the energy-hungry giant that is the biggest investor in Afghanistan's nascent resources sector. Pakistani officials heaped praise on Beijing this week as a Chinese minister visited Islamabad. Among them was army chief General Ashfaq Kayani, arguably the country's most powerful man, who spoke of China's "unwavering support." In addition, Pakistan has extended a cordial hand to Iran, which also shares a border with Afghanistan.

U.S. Missile Strike Kills Three in Northwest Pakistan: Washington has fired scores of missiles into northwest Pakistan since 2008 to target Taliban and Al Qaeda-linked operatives. Some have hit their intended targets, while others have also killed civilians.

The latest strike comes at a time of heightened tensions between Washington and Islamabad following a recent claim by top U.S. military officer, Adm. Mike Mullen, that Pakistan's main spy agency backed militants who carried out attacks against American targets in Afghanistan.

Pakistani officials have denied the allegations and said Washington is trying to use Pakistan as a scapegoat for its troubled war in Afghanistan. In a bid to beef up ties with other world powers, Pakistani leaders met with visiting Chinese Public Security Minister Meng Jianzhu in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Sadly the ISI has been complicit with the Haqqana's, Mullah Omar and other anti Afghanistan and anti American extremists from the beginning. The CIA was complicit with the ISI. The killing of 7 CIA agents by a suicide bomber changed this for the CIA. However you are not going to get the ISI to "switch sides" They have had a relationship with the Haqqani's since they were helping them fight the Russians.

Anyway you look at it we are viewed as temporary and the violent convoluted backstabbing tribal relationships will always be a way of life in the border area especially. We can only be very concerned how this is going to turn out between NATO, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. It won't be translucent or good!

We know for a fact the ISI or at least some there and in Pakistan's Government are complicit with the Haqqani's the thing to do now is to stop making it an issue, be more vigilant, and even though Pakistan threatens us if we try another Bin Laden move, kill the Haqqani's any way we have to. The Taliban think they are getting away with something but they are being watched closely by JSOC ready to pounce and take them out when given the command.

I say let the chips fall where they may and give it now and save lives. My guess is the command has been given because the Haqqani's have been going down en-masse. The network is important but I think "they" should take out the Haqqani's first. I wish we would quickly kill the Haqqani's, both Jalaluddin and Sirajuddin and go home and leave the rest to Pakistan.

Her comments, made to a news channel here in New York City on the margins of the recent United Nations General Assembly, came in the wake of an unprecedented exchange between the two countries following allegations that the Haqqani network was “a veritable arm of” the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence.

An American major was killed and three American officers were wounded, along with their Afghan interpreter, in what fresh accounts from the Afghan and American officers who were there reveal was a complex, calculated assault by a nominal ally. The Pakistanis opened fire on the Americans, who returned fire before escaping in a blood-soaked Black Hawk helicopter. The attack, in Teri Mangal on May 14, 2007, was kept quiet by Washington, which for much of a decade has seemed to play down or ignore signals that Pakistan would pursue its own interests, or even sometimes behave as an enemy.

We have known of this complicity with the ISI and sadly the CIA from day one. Finally it is coming out in the open but who knows how this will pan out? The US deserved or not always comes out on the short end of the stick.

9/11 Press For Truth: Very Best accurate movie exposing 9/11 cover up!

As you know having read my past posts, I believe that 9/11 was allowed to happen and for a reason. I had never seen the facts that would back it up until I saw 9/11 pres for truth. This 911 movie, press for truth has got to be the very best movie exposing the 9/11 cover up. Bush, Rice, Cheney, everyone of them said over and over that there was no forewarning that terrorists were going to strike and that planes could be used as missiles to bring down buildings. Bull!

The movie documents factually that we heard in 1995 that planes may be used but never concerned ourselves about it. We received multiple warnings prior to 9/11 that terrorists were around, planes would be used, and the towers were coming down.

That really amazed me primarily because I have never seen the whole story together or backed up, I recommend everyone to see this and spread it around. Surprising to me was that prior to 9/11 one of the hijackers backed out and turned himself in, telling authorities what was going to happen. He was given 2 lie detector tests that he passed with ease. I don't recall who in the Administration said it. But they were told to let him go and send him back to London.

Once it did occur we attacked Afghanistan of course. As you remember, Bin laden and many of the leadership were trapped in Tora Bora right where the Haqqani's still are today. In the past I have said Bin Laden was allowed to escape so bush could use him to keep fervor up and Afghani's were credited with being responsible for his escape. Then I watched this Movie and find out that it was us. We knew there were four ways out and only guarded three. We gave them a way out.Remember! We designed and funded building Tora Bora for the Mujaheddin fighting Russia.

Not only that but I vaguely remember hearing about a 1,000 car caravan but it was never mentioned that we were bombing the area around it but allowed the 1,000 car caravan carrying the Bin Laden entourage to escape into Pakistan and at night, come on. Pakistan's ISI was watching you can bet.

Now this part really irks me and I for one never heard anything about it and still don't. As far as I am concerned Pakistan is no friend of America's and will partner with India and turn on us when the time comes. We also heard over and over how Bush would track down any Al Qaeda finances and try anyone involved. He made a big deal out of the fact that someone outed the fact that we were checking out electronic transfers etc. Something he himself announced.

*Now I watch this movie and find out that the head of the Pakistani ISI transferred $100,000 to Muhammad Atta just prior to the 9/11 attacks. This gets worse. Primarily because not only do we have records of this financing as well as pictures but we ignored it and supposedly are in cahoots with them. What happened to anyone caught aiding, abetting, or financing terrorism being hunted down?

To make it worse, the joke of a sideshow they called the 9/11 commission hearings was an obvious farce. Then I have to see this movie! We knew Rice and others were lying and Bush and Cheney were allowed to hold hands and lie together (take that any way you want). I think I vaguely remember hearing this but like everything else it was dismissed as insignificant. Anyway, the guy who ran Bush's election campaign if I remember correctly, is the one running the commission hearings.

He was the one who decided what was significant and what wasn't as well as what questions could be asked. What the hell is that? This entire thing was stacked against the truth and the facts getting out. I don't know if it is too late to do anything about it but it is our duty as Americans to hold these liars accountable. We owe it to the victims. We owe it to our children. We owe it to our history and we owe it to ourselves.

US has had it with Pakistan as Afghanistan gives Pakistan evidence of their involvement

Afghanistan's intelligence agency said Saturday it has handed over evidence to Pakistan that the assassination of former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani was planned in Pakistan. Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security, or NDS, said the September suicide bombing that killed Rabbani was plotted in Satellite, a suburb of the Pakistani city of Quetta. This is proof of Pakistani involvement not Pakistani Government or Pakistan's interservice intelligence agancy. We still need the silver bullet connecting Pakistan to the killing. Shy of that we better shut up before once again we cut off our nose to spite our face.

Panetta says CIA concealed information but didn't Lie! Isn't concealing information lying?

Isn't concealing information lying? Panetta says it is not CIA policy to mislead Congress. What a lie! Isn't concealing information misleading? How are we supposed to believe the CIA? As far as I am concerned they have a long history of lying and it only got worse during the Bush misadministration. George Tenet was probably the worst liar in CIA history so Bush could attack Iraq.

I do not like Pelosi but yesterday Pelosi said in regard to the letter sent to Panetta to recant his statement that the CIA is not in the habit of misleading Congress that obviously the House has concerns about the CIA! Panetta has admitted to the house intelligence committee behind closed doors of misleading Congress several times over the last 8 years. What a surprise and of course Republican members of the committee deny it?

7 Democrats including Democratic members of the intelligence committee are signatories of the letter accusing the CIA of repeatedly lying misleading and concealing information from Congress. Representative Jan Shakowski wrote the letter and asked CIA Director Leon Panetta to take back the statement that the CIA is not in the practice of misleading Congress.

I have to tell you, to me by definition they would have to lie to Congress to keep things secret. I hate to say it but you can't trust or rely on those people! The letter came a day ahead of the Debate on the intelligence Bill. Supposedly this whole thing according to Republicans is to cover for Pelosi who last may accused the CIA of misleading her. Once again Republicans are trying to make the truth appear as a lie for their gain. They are purposely confusing us again!

In fact, the CIA has lied to members of Congress a number of times, detailed in Tim Weiner's history of the CIA, Legacy of Ashes Here are just a few prominent instances:

In the 1950s, Director of Central Intelligence Allen Dulles, after being told by Senator Joseph McCarthy that the CIA was "neither sacrosanct nor immune from investigation," began waging a "down and dirty covert operation on McCarthy" which included attempting to bug his office and feeding his staff with disinformation "in order to discredit him."

Former CIA Director Richard Helms was convicted in 1977 of lying to Congress about the United States' role in overthrowing the democratically elected president of Chile, Salvador Allende. Allende was succeeded by brutal dictator Augusto Pinochet.

In 1982, Congress passed a law prohibiting the administration from ousting the leftist regime in Nicaragua. The CIA kept trying to overthrow the Sandinistas. CIA Director Bill Casey testified frequently before oversight committees Congress about the agency's covert action plans, during which he was often misleading. "Casey was guilty of Contempt of Congress from the day he was sworn in," Robert Gates, former head of the CIA and current Secretary of Defense, told Weiner. When the Iran Contra Scandal began to break, Casey lied to Congress, denying that they had traded arms for hostages with Iran.

On September 17, 2001, George Tenet told Congress that Iraq had provided al Qaeda with training in combat, bomb-making, and weapons of mass destruction. That information was based on a single source, the interrogation Ibn al-Shakh al Libi, who later recanted and whom we now know was tortured for that information. Tenet of course, hasn't recanted.

These are just some of the cases in which the CIA lied to Congress. In the context of a number of covert operations, the CIA has even lied to the President. This is part of the nature of what we, as a country ask them to do as an organization--the CIA is constantly being asked to engage in illegal behavior, punished when their analysis doesn't fit the preordained conclusions of whatever administration is in power, and then is exclusively blamed when the information comes out or the operations go sour. That's a regrettable state of affairs that says more about the hypocrisy of our leaders than it does about the committed men and women of the CIA.
