Arab body wants withdrawal of Syria monitors because they are being used as cover to kill civilians, now what?

An advisory body to the Arab League has called for the immediate withdrawal of the group's observer mission in Syria, saying its monitors are inadvertently helping the government cover up continued violence. The Arab Parliament, an 88-member advisory committee of delegates from each of the League's member states, said on Sunday that the violence in Syria was continuing to claim victims despite the presence of Arab League monitors.

The parliament called on the League's Secretary-General Nabil Elaraby to convene a meeting of Arab foreign ministers to adopt a resolution to withdraw the mission immediately. "For this to happen in the presence of Arab monitors has roused the anger of Arab people and negates the purpose of sending a fact-finding mission," Ali al-Salem al-Dekbas, the Arab Parliament's chairman said. "This is giving the Syrian regime an Arab cover for continuing its inhumane actions under the eyes and ears of the Arab League," he said.

Arab League Falters in Syria as Plans to End Crisis Dwindle: The Arab League has raised questions about its commitment to halting Syria’s deadly crackdown on protesters by putting a Sudanese general with close ties to an indicted war-crimes suspect in charge of a monitoring mission intended to hold the government accountable.

I am incensed! I am sure none of those in charge have been smart enough to put two and two together yet and realize what is happening and getting ready to happen. They are being played !

Iran not now and will not in the future stand idly by and allow Syria to fall to Democracy. You better know for a fact Iran's IRG is leading the atrocities against the protesters and Al Qaeda if not Saudi Arabia is helping the protesters. Both sides are fighting for what they think will be the future direction of the middle east.

Russia already has warships on sight prepared to protect their interests in Syria and Russia and China say they will protect their vast interest in Iran. It is no surprise that the whole package is coming to a head all at once meaning the Arab spring countries too along with Iraq which has already started to break. Question is can we keep it contained to the middle east and from erupting into WW3?

You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran. Both will fail! It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran!

The entire middle east and north Africa and our more than century of interference and exploitation can take the blame for that too. Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program is going to be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale if we are still there when this breaks open!

You have to be very concerned about what is happening in Syria especially. Iran is not going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy. What we saw after the voter fraud in Iran was mild compared to what the IRG will do if this movement spreads to Iran. I really wish Bashar would step down but Iran is the elephant in the room any way you look at it. The total middle east breakdown Sunni against Shiite we have written about numerous times is well under way. We can only hope we keep it from erupting into WW3.

This is a deadly game of chess Syria, Iran, Arab nations and the west are playing and it will not end good. Now what do we do?

Meanwhile Syrian protesters due to increasing slaughter they want the Arab League and the United Nations security council to step in.

Turkey vows not to stand idly by and allow Bashar Al-Assad to kill his people

Syria: Homs massacre warning - live updates: • Opposition claims Syrian army preparing to attack Homs
• Former Lebanese PM "proudly" backs Syrian uprising
• Muslim Brotherhood boycotts constitution council

Syria kills 60 fleeing soldiers, reports sayDeserters felled by machinegun fire; 40 civilians also killed, say rights campaigners

Syrians launch civil disobedience campaign: Syrian activists  launched a campaign of civil disobedience to pile pressure on President Bashar al-Assad, after he drew a stinging rebuke from the US for denying he ordered a deadly crackdown. Okay so Bashar is saying he is a "puppet" and the military controls him! Bashar said he would step down immediately if the people did not want him, well see ya later and don't let the door hit you in the backside.

15 Killed as Syrian Protests Spread

Syrian pipeline attack raises supply threat: Rebel fighters have blown up a key oil pipeline in Syria, in their first significant attack against the oil industry since the uprising began nine months ago. Damascus confirmed the attack on Thursday, blaming “terrorist groups”, according to the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency. “A destructive terrorist group targeted a crude oil pipeline in Tal Al-Shur, north-west of Homs refinery,” the agency said.

Turkey considers Iraq as alternative trade route: Regional pressure mounted against President Bashar Assad's regime on Tuesday as Saudi Arabia urged its citizens to leave Syria, and Turkey said it could use Iraq as an alternative trade route. That would cut out Syria entirely as Damascus faces broad economic sanctions over its deadly crackdown on an 8-month-old uprising. Russia's foreign minister, however, gave the regime a boost, warning against imposing ultimatums on Assad's government.

Turkey: We won't allow Syria to threaten security of region: Turkey cannot stand by and watch if Syria's crackdown on a popular uprising puts security in the region at risk, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Friday. While Turkey has no desire to interfere in Syria's internal affairs, it has a duty to tell Syria "Enough!" if it puts Turkey's security at risk by fighting its own people and forcing people to flee the country, he said.
Turkey, which has the second-largest army in NATO, said last month it did not want any military intervention in Syria but that it was ready for "any scenario" including setting up a buffer zone inside Syria. Turkey, which has become increasingly critical of its one-time ally, fears an all-out civil war based on sectarian lines in Syria could spill across its borders and spark tensions among Turkey's own people.

I hope Turkey realizes that the elephant in the room is Iran and they are not now and will not in the future stand idly by and allow Syria to fall to Democracy.

Turkey is nearing a military intervention in Syria as Iran says it could target Turkey missile shield and Syria imports Foreign Fighters

Syria faces Arab League sanctions as deadline slips: Turkey's foreign minister said his country would coordinate with the Arab League on imposing sanctions, an indication of the extent to which the international community has lined up to force Assad to end his bloody crackdown on anti-government demonstrators, which has taken the lives of an estimated 3,500 people. Turkey once was considered a close Assad ally.

"There is excellent coordination between Turkey and the Arab League," Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said at a news conference he held with Jordan's foreign minister. "We share every step we make and every position we develop." Davutoglu warned that Syria would be isolated by Turkey, Arab countries and the entire international community if it rejected the Arab proposals, and that Turkey could adopt further measures against the regime.

Turkey seen as door to Syrian "humanitarian corridor": The border wends 800 km (500 miles) eastwards through hilly Turkish terrain, much of it mined. On squat concrete buildings across the valley, the Syrian flag flutters and soldiers clamber over rooftops watching for movement. Villages around are occupied by military.

The frontier between Turkey's Hatay province and Syria offers the probable site for the "humanitarian corridor" proposed by France to help civilians caught in the spiraling violence as President Bashar al-Assad fights to stay in power. But the Syrian military shows no sign of yielding control.

Turkey says ready to act with Arab League to stop Syria violence: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recently hardened his stance against Assad and suggested for the first time the possibility of foreign intervention in Syria. Thus far, Ankara has given shelter to some 20,000 refugees who escaped the deadly crackdown by Syrian President Bashar Assad's security forces, and also housed Syrian opposition groups. Israeli security forces officials said Wednesday that they believe Turkey is nearing a military intervention in Syria, in order to create a secure buffer zone for opposition activists.

Iran says it could target Turkey missile shield: We are ready to attack NATO's missile shield in Turkey if we face a threat and then we will follow other aims," the semi-official Mehr news agency quoted Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Revolutionary Guards' aerospace division, as saying.
Tehran has made clear its displeasure at Turkey's agreement in September to deploy a NATO missile early warning system which it sees as a U.S. ploy to protect Israel from any counter-attack should the Jewish state target Iran's nuclear facilities. Once warm relations between Iran and Turkey have been strained this year due to the missile shield and Ankara's outspoken criticism of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's violent crackdown on popular unrest.

Big deal as Syria continues the slaughter; 25 Die In Syria, As Defectors Battle Regime Forces: Violence sweeping across Syria killed 25 people on Saturday, most of them in a battle between troops and a growing force of army defectors who have joined the movement to oust the autocratic ruler, President Bashar Assad, activists said.

Activists report fierce clashes in eastern Syria: Activists say Syrian military forces have clashed with army defectors using machine guns and heavy weaponry in the country's east. The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 10 Syrian soldiers were killed in the clashes that took place late Friday in the town of Deir el-Zour.

The group said that there were also several casualties among the group of armed dissidents known as the Free Syrian Army. The Local Coordination Committees activist network also reported fierce clashes, followed by house-to-house raids by troops searching for defectors. The Syrian military vowed  to "cut every evil hand" that targets the country's security, a defiant stance by the regime as it faces the possibility of sweeping economic sanctions from the Arab League.

secretary of the Military Council of the Free Syrian Army, has revealed to Asharq al-Awsat that the Syrian regime has started losing control over its military sectors to the extent that it is resorting to bringing in "volunteers" from Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon. Al-Wawi points out that the information obtained by the Free Syrian Army says that members of Muqtada al-Sadr group, Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, Hezbollah, and Amal Movement have started to enter Syria to participate in confronting the demonstrators and those opposing the regime.

This is all our fault after more than a century of interference in the Middle East and Africa. Bush set it all in motion by attacking Iraq to get into the middle east to destabilize it and start the new middle east order the idiot said God told him to do now it will be up to Iran and Saudi Arabia at least up front fight it out whether this goes the Iranian Shiite way or the Saudi Arabian Sunni way and do not forget Israel!
