This is terrible to watch unfold as World Olympic torch chaos is a warning of what is happening around the world and what is to come!

First I have to say I thought about this all night knowing the way I have been saying for years this is going to turn out.Yesterday what our friend Betmo was saying about the reality or our and the worlds situation made me think about it all night as there will be no necessary preparation for me as I am trained and have been prepared for years but Betmo is right and most do not have a clue and better start looking at the big picture and preparing. watching events around the world should tell anyone with any sense at all that the entire world is in turmoil as countries race to control the people in jockeying for position in the future. It seems the world's super powers us included are using the excuse of fighting terrorism for selfish gain and to rid themselves of old and future problems within their borders

China is of course doing this and watching the reaction to China holding the upcoming Olympics and the reaction to the Olympic torch being brought to them came to a head for me yesterday as it was absolutely degrading, insulting, and an absolute warning of the rampant unrest in the world today and the unavoidable horrendous word wide turmoil we will in fact be facing an the Chinese people are totally unaware as China is keeping them in the dark. I really have to wonder what is going to happen during these supposed celebrations because something will. Of course though it is the unavoidable big picture I want to highlight!

First let us just recap what has happened with the torch so far as this a mere snapshot of the future to come! I think it is another crock as China is using the excuse of fighting terrorism to stifle any internal opposition but China said Thursday it had uncovered a criminal ring planning to kidnap athletes and others at the Beijing Olympic Games. I mean come on! Thirty-five members of a ring based in the restive western Xinjiang region were arrested, Ministry of Public Security Spokesman Wu Heping told a news conference. "We face a real terrorist threat," Wu said. The arrests took place between March 26 and April 6, he said. I refuse to believe it!
Since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror hijackings, China has tried to portray the simmering separatist rebellion in Xinjiang as being fueled by terrorist organizations in Central Asia and the Middle East. But evidence made public has been scarce. Western embassies asked Beijing for more information after authorities said they broke up an attempt to hijack a plane in western China last month but so far no evidence has been provided, diplomats have said.

Poor China! On Thursday, Wu said the ring was plotting to kidnap athletes, foreign journalists and other visitors to the August Games. He added that police had also confiscated almost 22 pounds of explosives and eight sticks of dynamite and "jihadist" literature in the latest raids in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. Wu also provided further details on a second group arrested in January, alleging they had been manufacturing explosives and were plotting to attack hotels, government offices and military targets in Shanghai, Beijing and other cities. Wu said the gang had been acting on orders from a radical Islamic Xinjiang independence group, East Turkestan Islamic Movement. Again no proof supplied! While the United States has labeled the East Turkestan Islamic Movement a terrorist organization, the State Department alleges widespread abuses of the legal and educational systems by the communist authorities to suppress Uighur culture and religion. China 'uncovers Olympic terror plot, prove it
As you know, it is hypocrisy for china to be holding the peace Olympics. The torch sparked mass protests since it started most notably London and Paris where it was doused 5 times. I paid a lot of attention to it in San Francisco and was sickened by what I was watching. It looked like fort Knox. They hid the torch, put it in a warehouse, moved it by boat, and the President has never seen this kind of security. I was appalled as this is just a glimpse of our future. While this was total chaos to me San Francisco after playing hide and seek is calling it a success and the IOC is glad it is behind them there.

The IOC had previously not ruled out the possibility of suspending or scrapping the rest of the international leg of the relay, but with San Francisco out of the way, officials vowed to push on. The torch is now headed to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then to a dozen other countries. The relay also is expected to face demonstrations in New Delhi, India, and possibly elsewhere on its 21-stop, six-continent tour before arriving in mainland China on May 4. The Olympics begin Aug. 8. Rogge said the IOC has received assurances that Beijing organizers were taking "all the measures necessary to have a safe passage of the torch." He said "all options are open" on torch relays for future Olympics, including restricting the procession to inside the territory of the host country. Rogge said the IOC would address that issue later this year —"not in the heat of this week." IOC President Says Olympics in 'Crisis' Over Torch Relay Chaos

* what we have been seeing around the world with water wars, riots, protests, genocide, military rule, power grabs, Russia, South America, China, Myanmar, Africa, the entire world, not just the torch run is merely the beginning for what the world will be facing in the future. Many of the movies we watched in the 50s and 60s about world chaos etc are no longer science fiction. I hope people put what is happening in numerous countries around the world into context with what is happening with the Olympic torch run. They are all part of the whole. They are all just a snap shot of our future to come. Do not be fool enough to think this is the rant of a pessemist. I am a realist who has been trying to wake up the country for thirty years. Have fun but be prepared. The future will be here soon!

Internet soon to be obsolete, Condi courting McCain, Siegelman imprisoned by White House, China financial nuclear option? Olympic protests growing!

Internet soon to be obsolete, Condi courting McCain, Siegelman imprisoned by the White House, China financial nuclear option? Olympic protests growing, meaning? let's discuss it!

Another night of overwhelming news. Once again most is going to be glossed over and missed as it is coming too fast before the next created crisis takes over and buries the daily earth altering news and on purpose so hidden agendas can be followed. Speaking of hidden agendas I decided to once again focus on the up coming Olympics and the crushing of Tibet in my mind knowing the just beginning world water wars I believe, yes China crushes all opposition to the Party line but it is all about securing the regions water source the Himalayas!

First there are a couple very, very important stories you must read as I do not believe they are going to get air time and will be buried until the crisis emerges and dire proof what the right has in store for us! I am just going to supply the links so you can peruse them if you are so inclined as I want to focus on the Olympic torch procession and the growing protests as I have to really wonder what is in store for the Olympics this year!

Frightening but Condoleezza Rice has been ‘campaigning’ to be John McCain's running mate

After yesterdays conversation with tc we learn today The Internet could soon be made obsolete

China's old threat gets more real and dangerous everyday. Think about China's financial nuclear option

Recently released Governor Siegelman announces on 60 minutes he was imprisoned by Rove and the White House

* I am absolutely not surprised by that but like everything else it will only be lied about. Also thinking about China's financial nuclear option makes me realize why the chief idiot has done nothing about china over Tibet and like an idiot says he is going to the Olympics. I hope to hell him and the Chinese are alone. I want to focus on the growing protests!

I still do not understand how China is being allowed to host the Olympics and could not understand why there were not more outcries. They have definitely begun with the movement of the torch. Thousands of protesters waving Tibetan flags and shouting "Shame on China" disrupted the Olympic torch's marathon relay through London on Sunday, billed as a journey of harmony and peace. The flame survived a 31-mile (50-km) obstacle course of lurching demonstrators, an unexpected protective trip on a double-Decker bus and even a fire extinguisher to arrive in Greenwich, southeast London, where double gold medalist Kelly Holmes lit up the Olympic cauldron. But chaotic scenes of police scuffling with anti-China campaigners and images of a triple ring of British police and Chinese officials guarding the torch throughout the all-day relay will embarrass Chinese and Olympic officials.

The torch is on its way to the 2008 Games in Beijing from August 8 to 24. The next Summer Olympics are in London in 2012. Thousands of protesters waving Tibetan flags and shouting "Shame on China" disrupted the Olympic torch's marathon relay through London on Sunday, billed as a journey of harmony and peace. Protestors crash Olympic torch party in London

French police have canceled the last leg of the Olympic torch relay in Paris following widespread protests against Olympic host China's crackdown in Tibet. Twice Monday, police extinguished the torch's symbolic flame so they could transport torch and runner by bus past crowds of angry protesters, many of them waving Tibetan flags. Paris Police Extinguish Olympic Torch as Anti-China Protests Mount

Amidst this growing chaos United States Olympic Committee chairman Peter Ueberroth is cutting short his stay at the Olympic meetings to return to the United States, where the lone North American leg of the protest-plagued relay visits Wednesday. He will be the senior USOC official in San Francisco, which is expected to draw thousands of protesters. Ueberroth leaves Tuesday in the middle of the International Olympic Committee's summit about the Beijing Summer Olympics, following the angry demonstrations during legs in London and Paris. Protesters are demanding that Olympic organizers denounce China's policies on human rights and Tibet and the communist government's backing of the Sudanese military regime responsible for the killings in Darfur. Ueberroth rushes home to deal with expected chaos
The Olympics are appropriately referred to as "games." What is happening in Tibet is no game. The Chinese government, which is preparing to host the Olympics this summer in Beijing, is brutally attacking the people of Tibet in order to put down a legitimate struggle for basic human rights. The pressure that the world can place on China to stop the killing and what can only be described as cultural genocide begins with a message that the games of the Olympics are not as important as the real-life struggles of the Tibetan people.

* That message is beginning to be sent. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has become the most powerful world leader to refuse to attend the Olympics opening ceremonies in Beijing. Hans-Gert Pottering, a member of Merkel's Christian Democratic Party who chairs the European parliament, has stoked discussion of a broader Olympic boycott, saying, "I cannot imagine German politicians attending the opening or closing ceremonies (if the Tibetan crackdown continues)." French President Nicolas Sarkozy has indicated that he may join Merkel in saying to the Chinese -- who see the Olympics as a marketing tool of immense importance to their country's economic and political emergence -- that what is being done to Tibet stains the name not just of China but of any country that would join it in playing the public relations game that the Olympics have become. Other leaders are opting out of the pageant in Beijing as well... Olympics and Tibet are now getting the attention they deserve

What amazes me is the Chinese are proving to be as brain dead as Bush in their response to the growing outrage! China's government appears to be stepping up a political-education campaign directed at Tibetans, a policy that may have sparked a new outburst of violence in the already tense situation in western China. China's ruling Communist Party has issued a circular in recent days to party members and government officials in Tibetan areas instructing them "to play an active role in maintaining social stability with more loyalty," the official Xinhua news agency reported on Friday. On Saturday, authorities vowed through state media outlets to step up such efforts. Overseas Tibetan groups said the campaign also involved requiring Buddhist monks to renounce ... Latest Move in Tibet: Political Education

Renounce the Dali Lama? Of course violence is increasing! What the hell do they expect? Again like Bush they appear to be creating an environment in which they appear to be forced to take total control. as I am watching protestors climbing the Golden gate Bridge and making preparations for the torches arrival on Wednesday I have to wonder what is going to happen with the Olympics this summer? Despite the heavy hand of China and their threats against any protests or violence I absolutely expect something to happen as the eyes of the world will be watching. Like mine at least for violence!

Why are we whoring the world's future? Why is China allowed to hold the Olympics? Holding Olympics the key to Western acceptance, What's it worth?

first As you do I watch the daily lies and corruption we are hit with all day every day coming right from the very top the latest being the outing of Spitzer because he was about to out the underhanded Bush created subprime program and bail out. Spitzer’s lynching and the bankers enriching are intimately tied.this is sick

As I watch the daily raping of our society not by its citizens but by our sorry leader as he helps the affluent steal our future and then pays them for it in his race to destroy our America, totally control us, and finish emplacing his new version of America while he thinks, finishing his new world order. Like you I also watch as our Democratic nominees exercise in futility knowing there is no way the awesome abusive powers Bush has amassed will be allowed in Democratic hands. Elections will not be fair and like the last two this election too will be stolen one way or the other. This is not a Democracy only a facade of one. How can we possibly expect any other country to want to be a Democracy with the fine example of abuse of the people, their trust, and their money, let alone the corruption and deceit? Are the countries of the world Democracy or not any better or worse than what we have become under Bush?

Anyway, I happen to think MacArthur had it right when during Korea he wanted to keep going right through China. He disagreed with Truman so he was let go. Things would certainly be different today if MacArthur had his way. Sound familiar in regards to Admiral Fallon? We have been dealing with China ever since and along with the rest of the world thanks to Bush that is coming to a head.

* The future is not Tomorrow! The future is before us period and we better start thinking about it! We have to stop looking at the promise of tomorrow and look at the future if we are too have one! We are whoring Democracy under Bush. Hosting the Olympics is the Holy Grail of acceptance to Western Society and civilization. You know China's record, what the hell? how can they possibly be allowed to host the Olympics? Are we desperate? are we hoping and praying for a future? Is it for their Financial leadership of the world or just us? Media rights? Human rights? environmental leadership? Yeah right! Worse, ours isn't any better!

Just think about it! What are we letting ourselves in for this summer? Intense criticism has surrounded China’s planned route for the Olympic Torch relay prior to Beijing 2008. Human rights groups have also slammed China’s human rights record, their voices joined by US politicians who oppose China’s alleged sale of arms to Sudan. "One World, One Dream." China’s slogan for the 2008 Olympic does not seem a reality yet. The recent weeks’ uproar underscores the political sensitivities involved in China playing host to the Olympics. The announcement of the 2008 Olympic torch relay was engulfed in controversy as critics slammed Beijing's plans for stops in Taiwan and Tibet. Taiwan rejected being part of the Olympics Games with China’s planning of the Olympic torch relay going through Taiwan. China considers Taiwan part of its territory, to be retaken by force if necessary, following their split in 1949 after a civil war. But Taiwan is opposing the route as a symbol of Taiwan being under Chinese control.
Amnesty International published a new report stating that The 2008 Olympic Games has become a catalyst for more repression in China, not less, and that China has failed to live up to promises to improve human rights for the 2008 Olympics. "The IOC cannot want an Olympics that is tainted with human rights abuses,” the deputy Asia-Pacific director of Amnesty International, Catherine Baber said to Associated Press.

”A lot of political interests and organizations use the 2008 Olympics to expose their demands and interest. They wish to challenge and tease China and expose the sides of China which are not shown through the Olympics. China on the contrary uses the situation as well, to show it is a super power and a valid member of the international society. But China does not want their legitimacy threatened and does not like the attention paid to the problematic issues that are not solved in China,” Delman explains. Human rights groups condemned China over policies about Darfur Human rights groups have condemned China over its policies about Sudan's Darfur, where state-linked militia have been fighting rebels, causing widespread bloodshed. Amnesty International accused Russia and China of breaching a United Nations arms embargo by letting weapons into Sudan, where they are used in ‘grave violations’ of international law.

"It would be a disaster for China if the Games were to be marred by protests, from concerned individuals and groups, who will undoubtedly link your government to the continued atrocities in Darfur, if there is no significant improvement in the conditions," said a letter issued by California Democratic Tom Lantos, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs according to Reuters. The letter warned that China's supplying of arms and other support to the Khartoum regime could tarnish the 2008 Beijing Olympics. threat of an Olympics Boycott becoming more real

How the hell can they expect anything else? The Dalai Lama on Sunday called for an international probe of China's treatment of Tibet, which he said is causing "cultural genocide" of his people. A spokesman for the self-declared Tibetan exile government said it has confirmed at least 80 deaths in Friday's violence and that protests were continuing outside the capital on Sunday, further undermining China's hopes of a smooth run-up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Tibet Watch, a group based in Dharamsala, India, told CNN that 34 people have died in the Nwaga County area of Sichuan province in western China.

The Dalai Lama said China, as the world's most populous nation, deserves to host the Olympics but it must look seriously at repairing its human rights record "in order to be a good host." He laughed at suggestions that the exile government was fueling the anti-Chinese protests, saying it was the natural result of deep resentment caused by China's treatment of Tibetans as second class citizens in their own land.

The Dalai Lama -- who fled his homeland 29 years ago after a failed uprising, said Tibet's "ancient cultural heritage" is threatened with extinction by China. He said the officials in the Chinese government's local administration in Tibet were "very, very negative" toward the native Tibetans, which prevents development of a "harmonious society." Tibet, he said, is seeking autonomy necessary to safeguard its heritage. "We are not seeking separation," he said. In fact, he said, Tibet can enjoy modernization through its connection to China. China was using force to gain stability and peace, but it would always be superficial, he said. China causing cultural genocide but why

* I'll tell you why! those mountains are China's water source and its future. It is only normal for them to want to control their water supply their future. Like Bush and the rest of the world today they are going about it all wrong. Remember Tiananmen square?

I don't think so but they say It is a foregone conclusion that successful conclusion of Beijing Olympics would give China the much needed fillip to not only rise further in the global order but also the "political legitimacy" in the major capitals across the world. The Tokyo Olympics four decades ago just did that to Japan. However, for a ruling Communist Party (albeit in transition to 'social democratic' set-up), with its Tiananmen stains of 1989, the journey towards great power status is arduous, if not impossible to realize. Foremost in such challenges are those precisely China considers as its core sovereignty related issues. Mention should be made of the on-going imbroglio involving China's positions on Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and Taiwan. All issues related to these have been boiling and spilling over.

Part of the escalation on the Tibetan issue rests with Beijing itself which ratcheted- up stakes in the region with a railway line operationalised in mid 2006, and other infrastructural projects put in line to fully integrate Tibet into its modernization drive. Moreover, in early May this year the Olympics torch will be taken to the Chinese side of the Mount Everest a sacred spot for Tibetans. This would have signified not only generating patriotism among Chinese but also in complete domination of Tibet by China. In the backdrop lack of any progress in the five talks so far between Beijing and the Dalai Lama's representatives, the younger Tibetan elements have been restive of late who are fuelling protests against Beijing Olympics. china's Olympics and the 3 evils
Knowing China's past and present and ours it is hard to see any difference beyond the guise under which abuse is justified. I do not however see any benefit in giving credence to the horrific abuses of the Chinese. I was sickened the other day watching a special on China and saw the people walking around with handkerchiefs over their mouths so they could breathe knowing the air currents bring their mess right to California.. We have to think in the long term and stop looking at short term fixes to our dilemma as the past has proven with Russia and China, we will only have to face them again in the future.
