In China they do not shoot people they stab and kill school children

Man stabs eight children in China: A knife-wielding attacker went on a rampage at a Chinese primary school on Tuesday, wounding eight schoolchildren with one seriously hurt, state media reported. The 35-year-old suspect, a man surnamed Chen, rushed into the school in Macheng in the central province of Hubei and began slashing at students with a kitchen knife, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing the local government.

Police apprehended Chen at the scene, the report added, and the eight injured pupils were hospitalised. China has seen several violent attacks against children in recent years, including a spate of five incidents in 2010 which killed 17 people - 15 of them children - and wounded more than 80. Last March, a man killed two relatives and then slashed 11 people, including six children, outside a school in China's commercial hub Shanghai.

Daycare staffer stabs kids, wounding 8 in China: A staff member slashed children with a knife at a daycare center for migrant workers in eastern China on Monday, wounding eight children, one seriously. The attack took place at noon at an informal daycare center in Shanghai's suburban Minhang district, home to many migrant workers.

The female attacker was taken into custody and police were investigating, said Zhuang Liqiang, an officer in the information services department of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau. He did not provide further details. Chinese schools and nurseries have increased security following a spate of gory rampages in schools and other public places in recent years that left dozens of people dead and injured.

The mystery over a series of vicious attacks on schoolchildren across China deepens as reports emerged indicating that the man who had committed the deadliest round of slaughter came from a tight- knit village where the children and their families knew the killer, perhaps seeing him near the school almost every day.

Meanwhile in Hangzhou, the provincial capital of Zhejiang Province, police officers detained a woman after she stormed into a youth center brandishing a rusty knife.

The assailant in one of the murderous butcheries Wu Huanming, 48, was the landlord of the Shengshui Temple private kindergarten and had been having frequent disputes with the school administrator, Mr. Wu barged into the school with a kitchen cleaver and hacked and killed Ms. Wu and a student beside, then wounded 18 other people. Ms. Wu’s 80-year-old mother and six pupils later died of their injuries. Mr. Wu killed himself at his home.

The attack in the village of Linchang, in Shaanxi Province, was the deadliest of five attacks in a deadly two months on students by middle-aged men armed with knives or tools, and it left many Chinese, from top security officials to fearful parents, scrambling for clues to explain the outbreak of violence. Seventeen people had been killed and nearly 100 wounded in the separate attacks, which appear to be copycat crimes.

China had 8 child stabbing in a month. In a country where you get put to death for doing something wrong these continued slaughters of young children prove the death penalty is a worthless deterrent as we know here in America. This in a country where the average citizen does not have a gun but has access to one kind of knife or the other. Beyond the increasing stresses of life today all around the world I still find this hard to believe in China.

I do not see these stresses relieving but only increasing and for all countries. That said I will never understand killing or hurting another human being let alone elderly, sickly, women and children. This proves that as our situation degrades people will increasingly lash out using whatever means possible to harm and kill others to relieve their anger. I believe in some sort of gun control to curtail unnecessary slaughter of innocents but where there is a will there is a way.

With school back in session the slaughter of children in China hopefully will abate this year but ....
