Bush's Military: No Gays, No Tattoos, No Gang Bangers, No undereducated, No excessive Indebtedness!

No Gays, No tattoos, No Gang Bangers, No under educated, no excessive Indebtedness, what's it take to Kill and Die for Bush Today? Whose left?

I couldn't find my story but I am sure most of you remember the issue of military indebtedness and that soldiers with this problem would not be allowed to fight and die in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Now we have no tattoos added to the growing list of taboos! Former U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Shiloh Richardson proudly wears a military tattoo on his calf, but a new policy means others behind him won't have the option of openly displaying body art while wearing the uniform reserved for the few and the proud.

"It's a way of distinguishing yourself when you're not in uniform," Richardson explained. "Most of the time if I run across a veteran, he sees my tattoo and shakes my hand, and says 'Semper Fi."

Marine Corps Commandant James Conway announced the policy change last week, aimed at banning tattoos visible beneath the elbow or knee, or vulgar images elsewhere. Officials say such body art is harmful to the Corps' spit-and-polish image.

"Some Marines have taken the liberty of tattooing themselves to a point that is contrary to our professional demeanor and the high standards America has come to expect from us," Conway told The Associated Press. "I believe tattoos of an excessive nature do not represent our traditional values."
Two weeks ago General Pace said he opposes ending the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, because it would signal that the Pentagon condones "immoral" behavior.

`I believe homosexual acts between two individuals are immoral and that we should not condone immoral acts, Pace told the Chicago Tribune editorial board. "I do not believe the United States is well served by a policy that says it is OK to be immoral in any way.'' Remember those words: "in any way."

Back in august of 2005 our dropping numbers in the military especially the academies was a big issue. There was a big issue in the air Force Academy particularly where cadets were being pressured to become Christian Fundamentalists. Efforts and methods of persuasion were not subtle either. This was not just occurring at the air force Academy but here and there throughout the military as a whole. In light of this Administration, their desires, their techniques, it seems a normal course to have this spread to the military.

With the larger role of Fundamentalists purposely allowed in our Government and in the operation of the country. With the increasingly public intervention of some fundamentalist leaders in our politics in an effort to sway the public you have to think? As we all experience, the plight of the lower classes are worsened almost daily. With the Presidents increased intervention in the middle East and the increased Christian influence in the Government and the military.

It looks more and more like we are being groomed to become a Christian country with a Christian Crusader army. Knowing that God told him to straighten out the Middle Easts problems, and in light of the Presidents ridiculous insistence on keeping an all volunteer fighting force. With the increased use domestically and around the world of our military, the increasing threatening of Iran with possible military action, you have to wonder:

With the threat of war with Iran very real and apparently impending, with increasing restrictions on a very stressed military, and now No Gays, No tattoos, No Gang Bangers, No under educated, no excessive Indebtedness, what's it take to Kill and Die for Bush Today? just what in reality is the chief idiot doing to our military besides over uding and abusing them while imposing fundamentalist asinine restrictions on those willing to serve? This tattoo thing is a little too much for me, I mean come on!

As I recall the military had a policy of no visible tattoos, that is while in full dress uniform. As to the gay issue the don't ask don't tell rule still holds although unwritten from what I'm hearing. Most gang bangers land up in the brig or kicked out unless they change. I don't know about the indebtedness but with the government shut down it's certainly not helping military families with cuts to the WICC program.

My son Jim is a loyal Republican is pretty pissed at Obama for the shut down. They get paid but can do nothing without their civilians. Civilians run everything. Even the Commissary closed, barber shop, everything. He had to cancel all classes and bring everyone home.
