Funny but I was thinking the same thing about the chunnel. I am sure that is rigged as I would expect the bridge to be!jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-80590965846528735402010-02-12T11:25:28.230-08:002010-02-12T11:25:28.230-08:00I don't think China is what you think it is Ji...I don't think China is what you think it is Jim. With that large a population they are still having problems keeping their people fed. There's been a drought in the southern part of the country and they are facing the same recession as us. Think of them like the guy who drives a Mercedes and lives in a shack. Check out some of the photo blogs from over there and you'll know what I'm talking about. They have wonderful modern trains that nobody can afford to ride.
I'm sure China looks on Taiwan just as they did Hong Kong. It would be a nice feather in their cap to get access to the latest technology if you haven't already stolen it by hacking the west.
Taiwan would be smart to boobie trap that bridge if it ever gets built. China must have been Chunnel envious when they thought of that idea.
As for Iran I'm sure they will be of no help there unless they can find a way to exploit the oil.
Russia as I recall sold Iran much of their arms which is now on hold with sanctions so I wouldn't expect much more than lip service there.Demeurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935263659097273535noreply@blogger.com
