Fresh milk every day, we smoked our own bacon, I butchered 20 broilers from every load every 9 weeks, raised all our own food, I'm afraid those days are a mere memory as modernism has control of mr now.jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-74372772277841236872010-10-08T15:05:56.975-07:002010-10-08T15:05:56.975-07:00...or we could retire among the Amish and milk cow......or we could retire among the Amish and milk cows. ;-)Dave Dubyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03279370558997246976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-26587865309109296932010-10-08T10:46:18.003-07:002010-10-08T10:46:18.003-07:00Demeur do I ever agree with you on this. What a frigging future we have before us!jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-38103165339216865442010-10-08T09:42:56.752-07:002010-10-08T09:42:56.752-07:00Just this week there was a meeting on the oil situ...Just this week there was a meeting on the oil situation according to the Oil Drum. By their accounts we are now at peak oil meaning that we have extracted one half of the estimated oil fields world wide. Oil therefore has no where to go but up in price. Oil as we know is a finite commodity.
Our plan I feel is to use up the rest of the worlds oil then be sitting in the power seat of the worlds energy needs. The oil and coal executives are quit happy to keep the status quo as long as they are making massive profits from this plan. They have after all a captive audience.
What to do? We will have to tackle the problem ourselves because we know they won't. First is to conserve energy by weatherizing our homes and changing the cars we drive. I know that sounds expensive now but think of the costs later when oil does hit $5 a gallon.Demeurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935263659097273535noreply@blogger.com
