I am sure I am not the only one that with Bush and Putin thought it may boil down to China and us against Russia.

However, more and more as China gets more belligerent and militarized and Russia more cooperative because of Obama Medvedev it is more and more looking lie us and Russia against China.

However we and the planet can not survive another world war and we need all three to realize this and be happy with what we have right now or we are screwed.jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-61299936499607783292010-10-15T01:33:53.437-07:002010-10-15T01:33:53.437-07:00If ever there was a time to lok at this geopolitic...If ever there was a time to lok at this geopolitically it's now. Russia can't be that enthusiastic about an expansionist China indulging in sabre rattling about disputed territories (although of course these islands were seized by Japan during a time of Chinese weakness at the end of the 19th century and South Korea has similar gripes against the Japanese). Surely if the US diplomats have any brain, now is the time to make eyes at Russia as both states have a converging interest to keep a watch on Chinese ambitions. Having said that, I might differ about Chinese imperialism - I have always believed that the Chinese will not seek expansion beyond what they beleive is theirs. Time will tell.Richard Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225331967587897653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-58219053874569217532010-10-14T10:04:15.523-07:002010-10-14T10:04:15.523-07:00I know but I am concerned China will go too far an...I know but I am concerned China will go too far and at a very tenuous time.

Did you by any chance look at those links I gave you yesterday about Afghanistan? Those links include government info on Bush and Cheney meeting with the Taliban in Crawford and the White House.

9/11 happened and we attacked them after Bush threatened an attack after they told Bush he could not put a pipe line through Afghanistan.jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15216381.post-77601364515121973632010-10-14T09:25:23.926-07:002010-10-14T09:25:23.926-07:00Times have changed Jim. China being somewhat of a teenager to the game is now testing her new 'toys'. We saw the exact same things back in the 60s with the U.S. and Russia. Russian subs would patrol our coasts while our military would scramble and drop marbles on their decks just to let them know we knew they were there. Different motivation now but the game is essentially the same.Demeurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01935263659097273535noreply@blogger.com
